We also got 3 #1 votes a piece in the AP and Coaches polls, so that's pretty cool.

Houston actually moved UP. Properly ranting them now that they don't have to falsely deprive a team of good opponents since there is no option but to get UC in.

That’s exactly what they did. The whole committee is a transparent sham. Love that Finebaum said “the committee would’ve loved to tell Cincinnati to pound sand, yet they had no other choice but to put them in.”

I would like to think the Bearcats were in regardless but found myself wondering what would have happened if Baylor didnt stop OK St

Nobody cares about Ok St. They really wanted ND or Ohio St, but when it became apparent that there was no plausible way to put either of those in, there was no reason to deny UC.

Yup. They were forced to take us because the only 1 loss team was ND. If OK State had won we would have been screwed. We needed everything to happen just right and it did.

Moving the goal post yet again. Now they say we need to win a CFP game to earn legitimacy.

Quote: The Bearcats are in by default, in many ways adding more fuel to the fire for those who assume their AAC schedule was the ultimate advantage. If Cincinnati wants to truly change the dynamic and land a blow for the little guy, it will need to happen in the Cotton Bowl against the defending national champs.

Although, this was a good point made later on in the article.

Quote:three of the Power 5 leagues were left out altogether. The Big 12, the ACC and (this is a copy/paste situation) the Pac-12 will watch the playoff from their respective couches, and at some point, that will be all the motivation they need to approve some new (expansion) plan.

Yup and if we win it will somehow change to “well any team can get up for 1 game.”

That and:
"Alabama was disappointed to be playing the Bearcats, they were looking forward to playing Georgia or Michigan..."

Cincinnati had the same number of ooc top 25 wins and the ENTIRE SEC. Must be nice to have inflated rankings so when you beat each other up it looks better.
