Over the weekend I felt that way but Ohio State still hasn’t beat a team on road yet that is top 25 worthy and they lost to Oregon at home. Could go either way.

They won at Minnesota.

Minnesota is 7-4 and hasn't lost a game by more than a touchdown all season. They're ahead of Alabama's best road win (Mississippi State) in Massey's computer ranking. In the Massey Composite (which averages a lot of computer rankings), Minnesota is only 5 spots behind Mississippi State.

Anyways, that's a hard metric to use because most CFB teams play so few road games, and there's so few top-25 teams, and losing at home frequently kicks a team out of the top-25.

What's your osu connection?

Minnesota lost to BGSU.

Stop.

Generally speaking I think the Big Ten isn’t good. They didn’t do anything in the non-conference schedule and have vastly over ranked by the committee.

Stop what?

That loss is included in all the computer rankings. As is Mississippi State's loss to Memphis. As it Pitt's loss to WMU. A few pages ago, people were defending Pitt being a top-10 team on EPA+ advanced metrics.

The point isn't that Minnesota is good; it's that the proposed metric (a top-25 road win) is a ridiculous metric to use.

It’s like I’ve always said about the old RPI. Game the ratings and a middling conference gets a perpetual benefit from playing each other all season. Tons of quality wins and quality losses to teams who’d get killed playing teams ranked around them.

We will land at the four spot tonight. We crushed an 8-2 team with one of the top offenses in FBS and emptied the bench in the second half. 11-0 with a win in South Bend.

Agree. We looked like top 4 team last Saturday. Tonight the payoff.

Doing a good job of making sure they'll fall out if we beat them. But have SDSU and several 2 & 3 loss acc teams above them

Committee has shown these teams are going to have to do something to pass us. Oklahoma state is really the only team that can. I think Oklahoma is too far back and I don't think the committee is double counting wins against osu if it gets to that point.

Definitely surprised Houston didn't bump up a few spots. They probably won't move up by beating UConn either unless teams above them lose on Saturday.

Barta talking up Ridder and the SMU crush. Thank the Lord we picked the latest game to look dominant. He also mentioned that ND win looks better and better every week. Remind me to send Coach Kelly a nice Christmas card.

With all of the talk of comparing UC to Ok St. and the rest of the Big 12, I'm surprised they haven't talked up the fact that UC will eventually join them in the Big 12.
