Against App the problem was he was getting the ball out in 0.5 seconds. They were running slants the entire first half and Cheek is good enough to get the ball there. What you have to do is press and stop the run, play deep safety. If they can get it over the top, let them try.

I'm with you on that. We may not score 20 if recent history is an indicator. We've averaged only 23 points over the past four games. I believe Elon is good for 13. We should win, but I don't see it being by three touchdowns. Our sputtering offense absolutely needs to be fixed before playoff time. I blame Shanahan and his uber-predictable, inefficient playcalling. Our stellar defense is covering for it, but if we can only put up 23 points a game, we will likely not make it past round 2 of the playoffs. A good offense like Sam Houston will light us up.

I think Elon pulls every trick out. They want to win and it gives them great pleasure to beat JMU. I hope the team has a great game plan and has put some adjustments in place. Unlike last week this game gives me a bad feeling.

I'm hoping at some point this year we get a big turning point on offense and/or in the red zone like the 2016 Villanova game was for the defense, that's what we're gonna need if we're gonna go out with one more championship. If we get Fornadel back I'm hoping that could be today, but I'm gonna go more "I'll believe it when I see it" for the score prediction.

In the 4th Q last week, JMU's offense changed their run approach a bit and it worked much better. Now, it could have just been fatigue on UD's part, but if they've figured out how to run, that'll be a huge change. We'll know shortly.

The team will be reminded how bad they played against Elon 7 months ago and had to come back to win.

With rain expected after kickoff, it is important to get an early lead today. It can quickly become a line of scrimmage game if the ball is wet and heavy.
JMU’s D-line is far superior and will be a difference if it becomes a weather induced running game.

Fair, however i believe for Elon its a bit more personal to staff and any remaining players on the sideline with Cig.
