Key game notes:

- Kent returned 19 starters this year
- Their defense has forced 19 turnovers, which is 3rd best tally in the country
- QB Dustin Crum has 41 TDs and 6 INTs since becoming the starter
- Kent has four seniors starters on their OL and all their TEs are seniors or graduates
- Their starting defense has 7 seniors or graduates with a bunch of backups with similar experience
- The punters and kickers are about the only positions they are young (all freshmen)
- They've only been sacked 12x on offense and on defense they average just under 3.5 sacks on their opposition
- They only score TDs on 51% of their red zone trips. So similar to NIU on settling for too many FGs.
- Their defense gives up 5.3 yards per rush
- They've given up over 2x as many points in 3rd qtr than any of the three other qtrs.
- Average over 22 yards on kick returns

Crum is a really good college QB, impressed in the few games I have watched him. True duel threat that can both pass and run effectively.

Should be a fun game and I think we win it.

Ohio was 31st in FBS rushing and they held them to 135 yards last week. Ohio had more success passing actually. That being said, I think our running game will gash them if the passing attack is good enough to keep them guessing.

WMU held the ball for 39 minutes vs Kent! What do you think the Hammock running machine will posses it for? 41 or 42 minutes!?!?

So...from this I'm understanding they are older...but average?

I dunno...our defense makes everyone look good. The offense should be able to keep the ball away for a bit.

Hmm,
Looking at the top of page 2 of Kent's Media game notes it looks like they are also playing a 1PM 'warm-up' game against Ohio next Wednesday before the NIU game. NIU's weekly release is far superior!

They gave up almost 500 yards of offense, im not sure that 135 yards rushing they held them to is anything to boast about lol

They have a terrible defense, agreed. Point I was making is Ohio which is a pretty good running team (Not as good as us) came out last week trying to ram it down their throats and to they did stop that and jumped them to an early lead. Ohio switched QBs, opened up their O and had a lot of success.

Now if we come out and our running game is immediately destroying them without much passing, that’s A-OK with me to stick with
