Reds waive Miley, Cubs swoop in and claim him. Reds could've picked up his 10 million option and traded him. Castellini needs to sell the team, he's pathetic!

As far exercising the option then trading him goes, Krall said that the Reds shopped him the last 2 weeks and found no takers fwiw.

I'll wait until the offseason ends before calling for heads, but so far I am not happy. We've got some potentially good starting pitching in the wings but Miley was a very reasonable risk @ $10M on a one year deal as the Cubs clearly realized. I don't expect him to be as good as he was for most of last year, but he's as good a bet as anybody to be an innings eater at worst. When you factor in the trade/sale of Tucker and the lost of Castellanos and his salary we are off to a very fan unfriendly start with a substantial loss of talent.

RE: Reds 2021 Thread
They are currently estimated at a $105 million payroll. Last year they were at $135 million. It'll be interesting to see what they do. They need to pick one side or the other, contend or don't. Straddling the line, keeps you in limbo forever. Which has been Cincinnati's problem for about 25 years.

Reds sound like they are in full on fire sale mode. Castillo might be the next to go.
