I've never blamed other CUSA teams for Marshall sucking. I blamed our coach Doc. In fact, he should have been fired a long time for not winning more championships in this crappy conference. We finally fired him.

It was 100% our fault.

We will be ok. Invite Sam Houston State, Jacksonville, EKU and Chatt or ETSU and we upgraded on many fronts. Most of the teams that are leaving are the reason our conference got jacked in the first place.

UNT - won in spots but did nothing for us overall
Charlotte - Just now started winning in Football - some upside but if Will gets poached...
UTSA - Just now started winning in Football - tons of upside but too late to help us.
Rice - Nada
ODU - Nada
USM - Nada
FAU - Lane brought them to greatness but before that, jack squat

The gems out of all of this are Marshall, UAB and probably UTSA. Everyone else wasted our time and will waste the time of whereever they go. The AAC got screwed worse than we did. They just won't feel it now. It's like getting shot with a .22 round. You won't die now but that .22 did the damage it needed to and will bring you down eventually. Good luck to the AAC. LOL. Memphis has to be looking for the exit sign.

WKU and LaTech are solid. MTSU can be somewhat solid again. We should bowl this year and build this back up a bit. UTEP is playing much better and could be solid.

So I say invite some FCS and keep the league and charge the sh!t out of the teams leaving while giving bowl and post season priority to the teams staying. Screw the folks leaving. That's what the Sun Belt did to us. We won 8 games, finished 2nd in the league and beat the hell out of Ga Tech in 2012 and the SBC screwed us out of a bowl because we were leaving. I say do that to all of the teams leaving. Treat them the same. Hell, keep em out of playing for the championship too. Don't reward them for screwing us over. They are making it unpleasant for us so let's do the same to them THIS YEAR and NEXT. Make em pay.

That's just not true. Marshall is right up there with UAB for being the 2 best programs leaving. Doc got y'all ranked multiple times and your attendance is off the chain. The SBC hit the jackpot with y'all. USM and ODU, not so much.
