Sunshine Sunday
Assume I am correct that EMU doesn't teach meteorology. So 'sunny' can be a psychological term, instead, even in convoluted ways.
It rained EMU TDs yesterday and the mood on this forum is bright and sunny, not dour.
I was out yesterday afternoon and brought 'sunshine' home with me. No, 'sunshine' isn't a stripper (always a good SNL line), but even though the day in D.C. was mostly cloudy I had a red face last night. I was surprised. I didn't think it was that sunny. Only once I got home I felt a little tired and realized I had a red faced...
Today, the mood in Northern Ca and Nevada, is bright and sunny as they are getting a LOT of rain, badly needed rain. "Better late than never" as they say.
and Kings and queens reigned yesterday at homecoming football games.
And posters are talking about where they want to go bowling (not the 10 pins definition).... Indeed a sunny thought if the bowl game is not in Boise.
It is not yet "Beat Toledo Week." Elections are being held in Jersey and Virginia next Tuesday so fans can watch MACtion and political action... (our Virginia gubernatorial election is very tight).

It is cloudy and dreary here in Ypsilanti as Fall has begun. HS playoffs football playoffs start this week. Big win down US-23 will be covered tomorrow bright and early.

Not telling you something you don't already know, but MI is not called the "Sunshine State." Clouds are a problem and I think it gets worse up in the tri-cities up around Midland, Bay City and Saginaw.
Hope you have a bright, sunny Monday Musings.

RE: Sunshine Sunday
I consider this a 'sunny' story:
"Flash flood watches are up for most of Central and Northern California, blanketing some of the same areas that went upward of six months without a stitch of measurable rain. Sacramento recorded its first 0.01 inches of rain last week since March 19, capping off a record-setting 222 days without precipitation. Now it is bracing for more than half a foot of rain and flooding.
The heavy precipitation has essentially ended the fire season in central and northern California, with most of the major fire complexes 90 to 100 percent contained as of Sunday evening.
The offshore storm system instigating the deluge set a record as an exceptionally intense “bomb cyclone,” with minimum air pressures rivaling those of Hurricane Sandy in 2012. " Wash. Post

Apparently, this also sets up an early ski season in the Sierras.

RE: Sunshine Sunday
Why isn't meteorology the study of meteors? Inquiring minds want to know.
