I’m certainly not above the occasional cheap shot at other fan bases (“Hot, Hot, Hot” anyone?). But I’m pretty sure that all of my posting sins on account of Sun Belt programs were venal only. I don’t believe that I have anything too serious to confess.

But with apologies to GSUalum17 (post #34), I will not abandon the Real/Fake GSU distinction. Those labels have real-world meanings that do not just get wished away.

Back when App announced their acceptance into the Sun Belt, I really felt it was a lateral move from the FCS level…yeah, I really thought that.

I don’t feel that way now and probably haven’t for several years.

Back then, I NEVER thought the day would come when it’s the Sun Belt raiding another FBS conference and expanding with some quality teams. And is now in the position to become the best G5 football conference.

Cheers to Southern Miss, ODU, Marshall, and JMU. I’m looking forward to visiting and looking forward to dominating the other G5’s.
