Big time up grades. This staff knows that D1 talent is required and they are getting them. Future looks bright.

Gives us some sorely needed size and depth at TE. HS teammate of Julian Sams. I assume he sits this year though?

RE: 2019 Football Recruiting Class
Transfer Safety Qwuantrezz Knight has been denied immediate eligibility for the upcoming season. He has 30 days to appeal. Read the full article for details. I think he has a chance at a successful appeal. Also sounds like some messed up crap going on within the Maryland football program.

Rankings of MAC 2019 recruiting classes from the Toledo Blade, which does a pretty good job of covering the league:

Here is a look at the Mid-American Conference's 2019 recruiting team rankings, according to 247Sports.com.

KSU is fourth, but the Flashes are so slightly ahead of Ohio, Cdentgral, Buffalo and Northern Illinois that's it's essentially a tie.

Not impressive, or surprising. You would expect the MAC teams to rank low based on how the players were ranked when recruited. What matters is how the players actually pan out in the long run.

Great news for the secondary. He's plug-and- play. If you're not a little excited about the direction this team is going you need to start paying attention.

RE: 2019 Football Recruiting Class
Looks like one of our top recruits, Bryce Childress, went the JUCO route.

Edit: The Purdue transfer who sat out last season also went the JUCO route.

That really hurts. But there will be more movement to come, and some will benefit us. BTW Just saw our old friend PJ Fleck poached one of Miami's top recruits in their 2020 class.

I wonder what the story on the Purdue transfer is. Odd for a guy to burn a year sitting out just to go JUCO anyways. I know he was converting from DB to WR. I wonder if it was grades or if he was behind too many of our WRs that he didn't think he'd get an opportunity. We are pretty deep at WR.

3rd school in 3 seasons what ever the reason pretty sure it wasn't positive.

He de-committed from Illinois and committed to KSU over supposed offers from some big name schools like Nebraska and Louisville. Maybe somebody convinced him to go JUCO one season and they’d he’d snag a bigger school again.

Anyone hearing much on how the RBs are looking? I'll be curious to see if a young RB steps up. Shaw will be the work horse and Matthews will get a lot of run, but they're both seniors so it will be interesting to see if someone on the roster looks like they can be the RB of the future.

I'll predict Joachim Bangda will be getting more touches than Matthews by conference play.
