AAC is now a joke
Not long ago I viewed them as a "power" conference, at least, in basketball. UConn, Houston Memphis, Cincinnati, Temple, Wichita State, etc. After losing Houston, UCF, and Cincinnati they have backfilled with UAB, Texas-San Antonio, Rice, North Texas, Charlotte and Florida Atlantic. No doubt Memphis is on the way out and SMU is likely to leave as well. I have a hard time believing Wichita State will stay in the "new" AAC. Not sure what Temple's options are, but I'm sure they don't want to keep their basketball in that league. Looks like the Sun Belt may move past the AAC, although it looks like we won't be part of it.

Wichita State will be begging to get in the Big East. If that isn't an option, maybe they would consider going back to the Valley. Once Memphis and SMU leave, they don't have anyone approaching a rival in this new AAC.
