A statue of Thomas Jefferson that stands over New York City Hall's council chamber will be removed after a city commission vote Monday.

The New York City Public Design Commission voted unanimously to move the statue to a public location, yet to be determined, before the end of the year. Efforts to remove the statue of the third president — who owned about 130 slaves when he died in 1826 — were renewed during the nationwide racial reckoning that followed the police murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis last year.

Yet they question why firearm ownership continues to skyrocket. How long before Liberals, like those who post nonsense here, start pushing to cancel white people. That’s not a far stretch for the Left.

Respectfully, I think you may be a bit behind on this. You probably read the thread about the National Parks Services recommendations that people stop referring to our citizens as Americans and that the "White" in white people should be used only in lower case, but it's perfectly acceptable and even encouraged to refer to black people as Black people.

Our institutions, especially within our government, are being led increasingly by blacks, females and other minorities simply for the sake of woke culture. There are likely few who support any ideology other than Marxism - perhaps while not even being aware of it.

The lefts efforts at turning our republic into a communist state are not going un-noticed although they lack self awareness enough to be cognizant of that in many cases. So much the better as far as I'm concerned. Let them continue thinking they have the upper hand and can maintain their grip all while exhibiting more and more egregious and bizarre behaviors to the extent they are becoming impossible to ignore.

Also, I have enough weapons to arm a small unit. That's mainly because I am fascinated by the perfect simplicity of weaponry and love building and working on them. That's also because most have specific uses for specific situations and because I'm too old and set in my ways to live under anyone's boot heel. Just go on and shoot me because I don't wish to live out 1984 or worse. I won't make it easy if I can help it though.

Remember when all this status stuff started the media scoffed at suggestions the Left will go after TJ and George Washington next?

It's really time for Democrats/libs to ban those from the Civil War on who engaged in lynchings, terror threats, jim crow laws...
