I love rooting for underdogs. Have to say though, I have no idea how they ended up ranked number 14 in the nation before being beaten by APP State. They beat Kansas and a bunch of cupcake programs…….Must’ve been a glitch in the system.

They've been playing a cupcake schedule the last two years. The same with Liberty. People were just ignoring the competition they were playing. No different than UTSA and UTEP. Who are also having good seasons but have only beaten bad competition.

They were pretty good last year. Beat 2 ranked teams. They just carried that reputation over to this year until they were exposed. But they just used our formula from 2012&13. Run your conference and beat a sub par P5. It’s the one perk from being in these bottom 3 conferences. Had we not stubbed our toe with Wyoming we might be just outside the top 30. WMU is #40 in USA Today rankings.

And people keep saying that strength of schedule doesn’t matter for the following year. This is why I want the teams we beat to have a good year. It does help.
