John Martin has an ego problem and it is working well for him. In todays environment if you act like you know what you are talking about you can make up crap and present it as the TRUTH and many people will believe you. If he was real he would admit that most of the time when he is speaking for the University he isn't. He is pulling crap out of his crack and splattering it around as if it were pearls of wisdom. IMO he would serve himself better if he would clam up, but what do I know. I still believe a reputable newspaper like the New York Times is a better source of information than social media.

Yeah, I think it’s something more along those lines. Maybe they wanted us to commit (to exit fees etc) & we were like “what if everyone leaves the B12” and wanting assurances we werent stepping into another BigEast situation. Maybe, we were just trying to cover our bases & make sure we dont get shafted. We dont really know what the commitment involved. Maybe, we werent going to get a full cut on conf money and were working to improve that. I am sure we were VERY INTERESTED.

Yeah that would be interesting if true. When they move on to an extended topic within the three hour show they will usually post a stand alone YouTube on that later. But yeah I can't imagine Memphis not moving on this.

The only one that took in the shorts harder than us is C-USA and they’re in free fall now. The Sunbelt seems to be a pretty big winner in all this…

My mixed feelings are all about the B12 leadership.
Not about whether it's the right thing for the university.
Either way, basketball will be fine. We had our best run in a worse conference than the new AAC.
Football, just win the conference with 0 or 1 loss and see what happens.
It's not the end of the world to be the biggest fish in the 6th or 7th best conference. Ask Boise and Gonzaga.

I heard Martin on that show a couple of weeks ago and he really pissed me off. Made the Liberty Bowl sound like Legion Field.

These guys on the show are pissed because they feel like Fred Smith, Dr Rudd or some other big dog from Memphis should call them and let them know what we are doing to get in the Big XII. And all they get is Martin.
