I was counting the teams and conferences of the games I've selected this season.

I thought (and you would think) the #1 conference I'd be picking would be "my" conference, the Big Ten. We'd be wrong. I've actually picked SEC teams the most. I've picked SEC teams 33 times with the Big Ten 30 times, followed by the ACC and Big 12 24 each (a conference game counts as two times, a non conference one time). This week is my first MAC featured game (Western Michigan at Toledo). I've featured Sun Belt teams three times (Louisiana at Texas Sept. 4 and today's Coastal Carolina/Appalachian State game). The only FBS conference I have not featured yet is Conference USA. The only FCS team I've featured is Yale.

The most featured team has been LSU with 6 games followed by Oklahoma State and Wisconsin with 5 games each. By contrast I only picked one of my favorite teams Ohio State one time (vs. Oregon on Sept. 11). My goal is to pick competitive games. If Ohio State is a big favorite most weeks, what's the point in picking their games? Same with Alabama (only picked twice, vs. Miami and vs. Florida). I try to avoid games with an obvious favorite although there is usually 1-2 games a week where one team is picked unanimously or close to unanimously. The Schmolik Alumni Game is this week's game I assume (that was picked for a special reason though). By contrast, LSU seems to be in a lot of games where at least I don't think it's obvious where they will win or lose (of course last week they played Florida, all 10 picks were for Florida winning, and LSU won, and that's not the first time a unanimous pick lost the game).
