Glad to see it! He was simply the "BEST" basketball player of the Murphy era. For those that doubt it, watch his performance vs CMU in 2017 at Mt Pleasant. Guys can get "hot" but NOBODY without transcendent talent could do what he did. 50 points in 30 minutes! C'mon man!

He just was not a good citizen, blame it on the kid or poor coaching. As an adult, I hope he realizes that and fulfills his potential.

Interesting story on the Motor City Cruise.

I didn't realize Rob Murphy is also senior professional player director.for the PISTONS.

Nor did I. Rob can indeed identify talent, he recruited very well at EMU and in Syracuse. Forget about JT4 and Ray Lee, they were great as freshman but think about Tim Bond, Ty Groce, Da'Shonte Riley and Toure. Those were very special athletes and Murph saw that and coaxed them to EMU.

His developmental abilities were less than stellar but Rob did see their potential. It sounds like he has found a job that matches his skill sets.

James Madison's board has approved a move to the Sun Belt Conference, subject to further approvals.

Howard and Hampton, HBCUs, are looking at the CAA, which is a very good FCS conference.

While CFB goes through their re-alignment, the two biggest universities in MI continue their p*ssing contest.

"UM has 50,278 students enrolled on its Ann Arbor campus this fall, officials announced last week. MSU has 49,659 students enrolled in classes, making it the second-largest university in the state." Detroit News.

My reply: Both are too damn big.

That's a lot of people that choose to overspend for a college education.

Same. Makes a lot of sense for all parties, especially geographically.

And helps with late season scheduling. I'd rather play a November game @WKU rather than @WMU. 03-idea

And Mid TENN rather than our Mid Michigan team.

I agree these would be a great add. Potentially, would we add these 2 and not lose anyone?

Gosh that would be GREAT! Unfortunately I doubt that WKU or MTSU would want to be primarily designated for MACTION home games in November. Mid-week games are bound to suffer a lack of attendance naturally due to work schedules and the lack of opponent fan bases willing to travel mid-week. MLB has a similar issue, the northern teams would like to travel early in the season to warmer climes, but the southern teams resisted because early spring games are less attended due to school commitments and they don't want to trade their summer home games for spring ones. Understandable.

Nevertheless with the MACTION contract, ANY respite from the sub 40 degree Michigan temps would be welcome.

what you lose in ticket sales you make up in TV money (conference wide that is)

I think for travel sake youd have to divide the conference north and south - rather than east and west
