Same here. I was born in Memphis. Lived between Middleton & Collierville , but I just always say Memphis…so as to avoid saying Tennessee altogether.

It's nowhere near the level of the Tennessee fan behavior, but in two Memphis games I have watched on ESPN this year, cameras have caught Memphis fans in the student section flipping the bird at opposing teams' players. Its embarrassing, but now I can say "at least our fans are not as bad as those rednecks at UT".

With all the cameras and camera angles that we have why wouldn't as many of the fans that threw **** be identified and prosecuted for felony assault?

At a minimum the final minute of the game should have been cancelled and Mississippi declared the winner.

No fans in the stadium at the next home game and / or a postseason ban should also be part of the punishment.

All that will happen though is a couple of strongly worded letters and a blog or two.
