Why would he be a compliance issue?

Because he’s already been at Cal for 5 seasons. Got approved for a 6th year.

I have to imagine that this isn’t the big news, right?

Good to have him, but I don’t see what is especially notable.

At the Roost said Reinwald played "39 games at Cal with eight starts. He tallied 31 receptions for 315 yards and four touchdowns over four years with the Golden Bears."

Also, Tuiasospo was his position coach for two years (2019 & 2020).

I've seen mediocre line play that is easily defeated by the simplest of stunts... and RBs and QBs running for their lives; plays that never have time to develop. The toss-back pitch we all hate being a perfect example (other than the numerous 'broken plays', sacks and scrambles).

Great QBs and RBs don't want to play behind crappy OLs... and great WRs can't consistently get the ball deep with crappy line play and scrambling QBs. 1 isn't enough. I hope we get 3-6 transfer OL... even if most of them end up second team (because some of the younger recruits work out/come around/look better with a better supporting cast, and NOT because we shouldn't have signed them).

Hell, KICKERS are better with good line play.

Couldn't agree more.

Rice posted a video hyping this transfer who had FOUR receptions for a 5-7 Cal team. The track record with this coaching staff on transfers is not very strong. We've lost way more than we've gotten. I just listed what a real tight end can do.

Fact: Cal ranks #37 nationally with 4.9 yards per carry this year.

Fact: in most offenses, a tight end must block for the run at least as much as taking a role as a pass receiver.

Opinion: How about those Owls?!
