No.....Marshall is not going back to the Mac. The majority of Marshall's Alumni outside of West Virginia is in Virginia, The Carolinas, Georgia, etc. That's where we want to be. Its also where we recruit.

I’d agree with you sans they are hauling all that dead weight out west, and in the heart of Miami, so until they can clear away that baggage, they are not driving anything anywhere steady.

FIU will get the AAC invite once USF can make the moves to get I to the Big 12.

With the specter of WKU and MTSU leaving the CUSA bus down to an engine, transmission and frame. Not really a bus left to drive.

If you are an ESPN cabal theorist it’s notable that the rally round the flag call of save CUSA as a mostly eastern league is quickly met with the floated possibility WKU and MTSU head to MAC.

The rally to the flag plan counted on a 7 team CUSA (sans USM) adding JMU and Liberty for 9. Now doubt has been injected that adding JMU and Liberty might only get the league to 7 requiring either NMSU as a full member or another call up or both

C-USA is on life support. ESPN probably makes the pay which is small to bring in those two schools and honestly it strengthens the MAC's ability to become more than a one bid league in basketball.

Chattanooga had their chance way back in 12-13 (and declined the Sunbelt...which to this day still blows my mind we were going to invite the Mocs). Since that time, they've done nothing to build/grow as a program.

UTC is 3-3 with a loss to VMI, which doesn’t recruit like normal schools.

I thought he was only obsessed with teams that have good records currently.

If the Big 12 does go to 14 once Texas and Oklahoma go to the SEC it appears two of Memphis, SMU, Boise, and USF are going to be heartbroken and left behind again. Memphis appears to be the front runner.
