Houston Selected as 2021-22 American Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Favorite

Duren and Nolley on the AAC 1st team. Bates and Williams on the 2nd team. Etienne is pre-season player of the year.

It came down to Penny vs. Sampson. Penny will have to prove himself. Sampson is already proven.

Larry Brown doesn't count? I don't see how we have them 4 players to 1, and the AAC coaches think Sampson will make that much difference.

yep, that's fair.... but i expect to go undefeated in the conference.

Penny still has to prove it but I think almost all of this is a hell of a lot of respect for Sampson.

I like that Houston is picked. Hopefully, this is a punch in the gut to our veterans and highly touted freshman that they will have earn the respect of other teams/coaches and earn their wins.

I ain't mad at it. Till we can prove that we can beat them, they are the top team in the conf.

I would switch DeAndre with Jalen Duren and would be ok.

I still don't see Sampson replacing Jarreau...

Sasser was essentially the same as Boogie...Those transfers better be really good.
