We have a 21-7 lead against UTSA to start the 2nd half.
They get the ball and we force a punt on defense.
We come out on offense and first play hit Dykes for 53 yards to the UTSA 38.
We have a punter kicking FG's, so the 38 is not good enough.
Then we run Thomas for 3 straight plays.
On 4th down, we send our punter out for a 52 yd FG that he misses badly.
UTSA scores TDs their next 2 possessions.

The moment Silverfield decided to run Thomas for 3 straight downs, knowing we needed more yards (and points, with our D), is the moment the season turned.

That’s a little dramatic. How about 4th quarter miscues? Henigans fumble at our 9. Thomas’ fumble inside the UTSA’s 20. A holding penalty in the last 2 minutes that cost us a long play to the 1 yard line? A crappy punt that put UTSA in a position to go for the win instead of playing for OT?

Two huge turnovers hurt us at Temple. A fumble while about to cross the end zone. Cost us 7. A fumble inside our 20 led to Temple scoring 7.

While our defense was really bad, but a decent kicking game would have probably resulted in a win at Tulsa. An incredibly badly missed PI would have kept a drive alive and would have probably resulted in points.

We’re a few plays from being 6-0. We have a young QB that makes a few mistakes but has overall, played really good. Looks like he could have an incredible career. Our defense has been really bad. Our usually great kicking game has been really bad.

The season has been been somewhat disappointing, but they never quit. We really need to get a better Defensive Coordinator and some good defensive recruits, but there are some things to be happy about. This team has character…

IMO it was when M Mac decided to always rush 3 and drop 8 back in a very passive zone.

TIGERNATION,
Check the history
1. The Spook turned down the Sun Bowl
2. The Spook put us in the Mo Valley conference a excellent Basketball conference but a horrible football conference. However, Cinncinatt and Lewisville went past us into better conferences ie. Horrible management
By our athletic department directors over the years
3 Dropped decent opponents for.
4. CUPCAKES
There it is, Ike should be paid as a consultant

Well, the OP is sort of intending this thread to be dramatic by the thread title. So I'm giving my opinion. If you're looking for a single moment that started the 3 game skid, I'm picking that one. It was the recurring tendency to play not to lose, and it finally cost us one.

It is the precise moment that this douche posted this video, along with his commentary. All of my frustration has now been focused toward him, and I suggest that each of you do the same.

Created an account, made this as your first post ... probably not wanting to post it under your "main" account ...
