You have every right to be proud of your FCS accomplishments. But please realize that absolutely no one else cares about FCS success.

ULM has a FCS National Championship. But do you hear them crow about it? Nope. Because it's like wearing your high school letter jacket well into your sophomore year in college.

The FCS championship routinely has less viewers that the lowest rated bowl games.

The last fcs title game not played in the spring during a pandemic outdrew 22 bowl games. Only 15 drew higher a tv rating than the JMU-NDSU title tilt.

You should have said yes when JMU had the chance.

ULM has won 29 National Titles in Water Skiing. I am not saying those things don’t matter they do.

At the Sunbelt level it’s about conference championships and National Recognition in Football, and Basketball ( all that matters to the average fan) then there is Baseball, I put Softball and Women’s Basketball in that list as well.

The fact that you just compared a Division I baseball national championship to water skiing is so laughable that it doesn’t merit a response.

Have to agree, it takes athletic ability to water ski. Baseball is just an activity for the uncoordinated and those scared of physical contact.

You have to be coordinated to swing a bat in the right time at the right spot in the amount of time it takes for your synapses to fire. You have about that amount of time to react to the stimuli given by the pitchers motion.

One thing I'll say about Louisiana: it is NOT the biggest trash talking fanbase. They seem extremely respectful of App, even when they have major bragging rights.

This thread (or one similar to it) pops up every few years. Whoever is on top gets the designation. I recall stAte being voted the loud mouth bullies not long ago. I guess that’s a badge to wear proudly, because you’re doing well. There’s not many ‘Loser Techs’ that’ll talk trash through the down years.

I think you are correct here. I will note, though, that Cajun fans have done a great job of not renewing a bad reputation during this round of being up on the gridiron. When we first joined the Belt, UL was on top of the world, with at least one MBB tourney appearance, some great football finishes, and a baseball team that held the #1 ranking for a while. Cajun fans were definitely cocky on here. That fizzled with some of their athletic fortunes and doesn't seem to have made a return like I've kind of expected.

Of course, (1) I was probably a little extra salty over not getting that 2014 NCAA bid, and (2) I think a lot of the potential negative energy from UL fans has been directed toward Coastal...

Western Kentucky talked a lot of **** when they were in the 'belt but of course Coastal talks the most **** now. Enjoy while it lasts. Your coach is certainly gone after this year.

Good Baseball players have elite hand eye coordination which typically means they are good at most sports.
