I was wondering the same thing. The team was going nowhere but was there something else that caused this?

Makes you wonder what the story is. Soccer at ETSU is not exactly high profile enough that a 3-4-3 record can get a coach canned mid season. Smells fishy.

Is there any news about what happened to the soccer coach?

I have no idea, but if you're really serious about finding out, you could *try* emailing or calling Scott Carter, Mark Fulks, and Rebecca Lewis. If those don't work, and you want to dig further, try Jeremy Ross, Lori Erickson, or even Dr. Sander. He might actually be the one most likely to give out some tidbits. And I'm just trying to give you some ways to dig, should you choose to do that. I have no knowledge whatsoever about it.
Or maybe better yet................if you know any of the players, either for the men or women...............

Remember when football was dropped - and soon thereafter Mullins announced the start of men’s soccer as if it was some huge accomplishment? Why do we still sponsor men’s soccer?

I think so, too. But.........we do still need to know what happened. The obfuscation and lack of transparency just kills me.
