That image is fanstastic. I recall one point in the game where Tucker caught a ball underneath - he wasn't in stride, but it seemed like he top speed within 3 yards of taking off. His acceleration is remarkable - combine that with being a really smart kid, and he's got quite a ceiling.

Tre is showing more power breaking tackles this year; with his speed I think he will become our version of what Purdue had in Rondale Moore.

That kickoff return against Indiana was remarkable. When he got to the 30, and put it into another gear, he was in the end zone in just a few seconds, even though he let up near the end zone.

His size is a big detriment IMO...he might get a look at Returner Specialist, but there aren't a lot of teams that want to use a spot on a player who is only used 4-5 times a game.

Cropping that picture from the 30 yard line -endzone just like Ford's above....what's crazy to me is that I knew Tucker had that elite speed, but I didn't realize Ford was as fast. Both guys going 70 yards in 7-8 seconds is flying.
Here is another one from the Miami, OH game. I was looking for the Brady Collins quote, but I heard him say either on BCJ or on twitter that we had over a dozen players that are in the 20+ MPH club. At the NFL draft years ago during the testing I saw guys running 20+ MPH were 4.3-4.5 forty times...not sure how accurate the 20+ MPH club is at UC but da*n if this team isn't fast. I thought one of the players in an interview at higher ground said Tyler Scott was the fastest player on the team and Des Ridder and Evan Pratter were the same speed, also can't forget Drew Donley.
Just from those 2 twitter images...
1. Jerome Ford - 22.75 MPH
2. Charles McClelland - 21.59 MPH
3. Sauce Gardner - 21.33 MPH
4. Tre Tucker - 21.29 MPH
5. Tyler Scott - 21.04 MPH
6. Alec Pierce - 20.76 MPH
7. Coby Bryant 20.53 MPH
8. Ethan Wright - 20.40 MPH
9. Todd Bumphis - 20.32 MPH
10. Ryan Montgomery - 20.29 MPH
11. Bryan Cook - 20.04 MPH
12. Des Ridder - 20.03 MPH

Tyler Scott claims victory in this video with Chad...really good interview from the preseason. Tyler Scott shooting up near the top of my favorite players on this TEAM.
Ford, Scott and Tucker all on the field at the same time with Ridder...

He's probably not as athletic as Rondale Moore but they have somewhat similar skill sets. I definitely think being the only player to beat Kyle Hamilton for a TD will catch someone's attention. It's like when you go to scout the 5 star and find out the 3 star guarding him doesn't have any high major offers.

Rondale Moore is a great current comparison at 5-7 180 and running the 4.3 40 time...he also played slot, returned kicks and was used out of the backfield at Purdue and now also at Arizona. Wes Welker played a 5-9 185 and Steve Smith played at 5-9 190....Tucker is listed at 5-9 175...he would probably need a couple more return TDs this season along with showing his versatility in the Slot / in backfield, then have a monster senior season to get a look...Darren Sproles (RB) played at 5-7 190 and was used as running back, return man and slot receiver in the NFL. The list is small (no pun intended) for guys his size getting drafted.
Next year the starting receiver group on paper looks like Tyler Scott 5-11, Jadon Thompson 6-2, Tre Tucker 5-9....if the QB play next season leads to a more RPO style, Tucker could excel. Shaq Washington played at 5-9 175 and had almost 3,000 all purpose yards, Tucker has about 1,700 all purpose yards with 1 1/2 seasons left.

From the 3 twitter images for best in game speed recorded...Deshawn Pace joins the 20+ MPH club.
1. Jerome Ford - 22.75 MPH
2. Ryan Montgomery - 21.65 MPH
3. Charles McClelland - 21.59 MPH
4. Sauce Gardner - 21.43 MPH
5. Tre Tucker - 21.29 MPH
6. Bryan Cook - 21.25 MPH
7. Tyler Scott - 21.04 MPH
8. Alec Pierce - 20.76 MPH
9. Coby Bryant 20.53 MPH
10. Ethan Wright - 20.40 MPH
11. Todd Bumphis - 20.32 MPH
12. Deshawn Pace - 20.08 MPH
13. Des Ridder - 20.03 MPH
DeShawn Pace is the man. In the past, the coaching staff has talked about players being hard to take off the field due to their skills, I'm certain it won't be long until Pace becomes that player. I feel bad for Van Fossen because he's a very good player, but he and Pace play the same position.

If you listen to the radio show and/or podcasts, the coaches are always praising the skills of Ethan Wright as well. He is probably the featured back going forward. That should be interesting come next year.
