By all accounts, Tech had a great relationship with the other WAC members but geography was a huge issue after SMU, Tulsa, and Rice left. We left on good terms when the WAC was gutted.

The MWC is for certain a better option than both C-USA and the Sun-Belt. I'm saying I highly doubt they are interested and if both they and the AAC take bites out of C-USA there's going to be a really tough decision for La Tech to make.

I would relish the opportunity to have to choose between AAC and MWC. Only time will tell how this is going to play out. Exciting times.

I'd relish the opportunity for ECU to have to choose from the ACC and the SEC, but I have a feeling there's a lot better chance you are going to be choosing between an even further gutted C-USA or the Sun-Belt.

I don't think even that would be a choice. By the looks of it, there are Sunbelt west teams that likely won't even entertain LT as a viable option. Not sure they'd have the votes even with the entire eastern block voting for them.

Not true. LT is in the same ULS system as the Cajuns and ULM. From a sports perspective, the rivalries are heated to say the least but generates more interest in the fan bases then some generic school. Some out sized vocal people make this relationship more caustic that it really is. Been to many a games between the Cajuns and LT and never seen fights in the stands. The Admins know there would be a certain value being in the same conferences. Will it ever happen? Only time will tell.
