Despite rarely watching College Gameday, it is a huge tradition that draws a ton of attention. It's way overdue for them to be looking toward UC, and I'm glad they're at least flirting with the idea. So, a very Monday-morning topic here. IF Gameday happens to come, who do you want as guest picker?

5. Rose Lavelle (perhaps too obscure)

Oh-so-Cincinnati candidates:
1. Pete
2. Jerry Springer

Longshots:
1. Matt Berninger (UC alum, The National; again, pretty obscure and he probably wouldn't give a ****)
2. Dave Chappelle (it's a short drive down)
3. Joey Votto (they can tell him he's picking hockey teams)

I hate most of these options short of the Kelce Brothers, Youk and Kenyon. I want a definite UC fan. Lachey is old news. Lavelle would be awesome if she was a UC fan, but she's a Xavier fan...no way. My biggest thing is I want it to be someone connected with UC, not just a Cincinnati connection.

A lot of interesting candidates there. Springer and Chappelle would be pretty funny - put them on together. Lachey would be the safe but boring pick.

God I just hope ESPN doesn't totally screw us with some obscure person that has no connection to the school if we ever get Gameday. I was at the Gameday when we played UCF a couple years ago and everyone was baffled when they announced Maury Povich. Just brutal.

That's the problem. It's ultimately a self-serving endeavor for ESPN/ABC. They're just as likely to choose the star of an upcoming Disney flick as they are someone connected to the school.

For the record, my least-favorite option above is Lachey.

Jerry Springer is 77 years old. His show has been off the air for 3 years.

He was a big deal 15 years ago. But I bet college students today don't even know who he is.

This is a really petty response. Travis has been a huge UC football supporter. Reps for the Bearcats all the time.
