Through his first 6 games, Seth has 5 turnovers.

HOWEVER, he also owns two of the top 10 single-game passing yardage games.

Once he clears up his turnover issue he may rewrite a lot of White's records.

1 Brady White 486 2020 UCF

2 Riley Ferguson 471 2017 Houston

3 Riley Ferguson 471 2017 UCF (American Championship Game)

4 Seth Henigan 463 2021 Tulsa

5 Brady White 454 2019 Penn State (Cotton Bowl Classic)

6 Paxton Lynch 447 2015 Tulsa

7 Brady White 437 2020 South Florida

8 Riley Ferguson 431 2017 Connecticut

9 Seth Henigan 417 2021 Arkansas State

10 Martin Hankins 416 2007 East Carolina

He is just 12 TDs away from breaking into the top 10 in CAREER TD passes and less than 800 yards from breaking into the top 10 in CAREER passing yards.

Henigan is great. He is not the problem on this team at all. I am very impressed with his performance so far and very excited about his future with this team.

Seth is fine, and will only get better as he gets older, bigger, and more experience. His turnovers (not the last int last night, which was a fluke) will disappear over time, I am sure.

I am critical of our defensive scheme, but then I have never been a football coach, so what do I really know?

The Dude is a freshman and has a couple of picks and fumbles, Ike finds that remarkable and the Dude can and will throw the Ball.. IKE's currently watching the eagles q.b. chucking up ints.

I have been highly impressed with Seth Henigan. He has the potential to be a star for the Tiger program. The problems this team faces are multi-faceted and not QB related.

Go to the game thread as there were several yelling to pull Seth and put in the former LSU QB.

He is going to be one of the greats, but he also has 5 of our 9 turnovers.

Can blame RB for turnovers and not him.

So you really cannot give him a pass when it comes to our issues this year.

I also like that he will run with the ball when it’s there, which was my only complaint about Brady.

Ironically the person who started this thread was critical early on.

Lol

Seriously his only issue with me is he seems to only lock in on Austin. But he’s much better imo than Paxton was as a freshman

Former LSU QB would not even be the first one off the bench...would be other QB FYI for those wanting the LSU QB

I also think he'll be fine. Two of his three interceptions were tipped passes. And Brady White had some bad fumbles.

thing about Seth IMO is that he doesn't seem to dwell on the bad plays and always focuses forward....pretty good trait for a frosh QB

I agree...everything I've seen out of Seth thus far is that the young man has a never-give-up fighting spirit.

It's up to the coaching staff to give the players the correct schemes to maximize their abilities...and some better kicking wouldn't hurt, either.

Something else about Seth-the Dude doesn’t mind tucking the ball and running. As his body matures he will continue to improve.

Ike does not like to see quarterbacks run,
Seth runs when necessary and normally slides rather than take a hit. He had a good high school coach
The Dude has a good arm and football I.Q.and is a freshman

He is #5 in passing, #21 in YPA, #31 in Qb Rating.
He is doing well amongst his peers.
Can't say the same for many others.
Yes, we can give him a pass.
