So many bad bowl memories but these were tough.

For better or worse, I was at both of them. With TCU, we were beat by a better team. My other lingering memory from that game was Larry English's Mom was seated nearby and how she was desperately trying to gather information when he was hurt. They eventually send someone up to brief her and bring her down.

Boise State was an absolutely pathetic. The only good thing about the game was the next morning while checking out of the team hotel, I ran into a couple who had been seated in the row behind me. My nephew and I had bought some game merch but were so bummed at the end of the game, forgot to pick up the bad under out seats. They noticed it and picked it up on the freak chance of running into us again. Well, they did. I was very grateful and it restored some of my faith in Huskie fans if not the Huskies under Rod.

If we get to a bowl game, in a year where some pundit-dumb-@sses pegged us for a 4-win season, and given our bowl win/loss history, I wouldn't be mad if we played a beatable team and actually got the W.

Would love another boneyard victory, but a more-obtainable win would be best for the program maybe.

I don't even remember most publications predicting we would get four wins. I checked some of the college football magazines when I was at a grocery store a couple months ago and all predicted a last place division finish with three wins max.

I didn't see Phil Steele's magazine so I'm curious where he predicted NIU to fall.

Steele picked Huskies last in “rugged” MAC West but called for a “much improved year”
