UC has earned it. Nobody is pulling any strings, especially for UC.

They have earned it absolutely, but the system is the system. They will play leap frog in the end if they can, but hope it works out for you guys. Go AAC!!

you're missing the point...
he is saying that g5 have hurdles..he "thinks" those hurdles are being removed for UC..
he isnt saying that uc didnt earn it, but there have been other g5 who weren't even close, who should have been .. who earned it as well
its too early to tell, we won't know till the committee poll...

I do think some hurdles are being minimized for UC. The Big East? the sustained success prior to Tubbs? The way they play, just straight up no gimmick football? the defense being good against any team? Finally shutting up UCF or the rest of the world? The obvious fear and the immense respect for Fickell? I don't know the reason but the media likes UC.

No G5 will ever be allowed into the 4 team invitational. Nothing has changed. Remember the biased committee still has to make their rankings. Cincy AT BEST can finish #5 in the CFP rankings.

That may be true, but the P5 has to admit that they need a steady stream of infusions from the G5 in order to stay on top.
Teams that have moved from non-power to power conferences:
Michigan State (1948)
Arizona (1978)
Arizona State (1978)
Florida State (1992)
South Carolina (1992)
Penn State (1993)
Miami (2004)
Virginia Tech (2004)
Boston College (2005)
Utah (2010)
West Virginia (2012)
TCU (2012)
Syracuse (2013)
Pitt (2013)
Rutgers (2014)
Louisville (2014)
Cincy (2024)
UCF (2024)
Houston (2024)
BYU (2024)
next up....
Memphis (2025?)
Boise St. (2025?)
USF (2030?)
SDSU (2030?)
SMU (2030?)

The P5s are like vampires who keep themselves alive with transfusions of new blood from the up-and-coming G5 teams.
The silver lining is that, although they turn their victims into zombies like themselves, at least their victims are well-payed.
Eventually, most of the AAC teams will be zombies playing in zombie "P" conferences, but the universities will be getting tens of millions more per year in revenue, and the ultimate beneficiaries are (hopefully) the universities and their students.
