The conference isn't as desirable as it used to be. I wanted to go to the AAC and take on the likes of ECU, Memphis, Cincinatti, SMU and UCF...if those teams are on the way out...it's just another CUSA, ECU or not. I can't see any names on their supposedly short list being among the ranks of those currently Big XII bound, and most could probably be played as an OOC or Bowl Tie-In. Its just not as appealing anymore.

Regardless of their slide in strength once the new Big 12 three from the AAC leave and if they also lose Memphis, SMU and USF. They will need to find replacements. Top Candidate is UAB, but Buffalo and possibly UMASS into play a fourth is Charlotte. With their loses to the Big 12, Tulsa becomes an outlier who might opt to MWC along with Wichita State? Later prospects...FAU, Miami of Ohio?
