All the prelim early looks did was make people mad when they did the full evaluation on selection day.

People clung to that prelim ranking like it was fully baked, and it wasn't. They spend a lot more time going over each team when they meet, its a 1-2 day process as i recall from committee member interviews.

Like and Hate this bracket.

I would not mind returning to SHSU.

Would be annoying to play at NDSU again in the playoffs.

Not sure how they can put Villanova behind us but I agree I want to play SHSU again

This would put us playing outside in South Dakota in mid December.

Not sure where I'd seed us right now. I think we can do well defensively against anyone, especially by years end. However, I don't think we have the offensive consistency to win multiple games in a row against top teams.

Sagarin currently has us as 4th best FCS team. I'm a little surprised we're that high as they rate the Colonial as only 4th highest conference-behind MVC, Big Sky and Southern.

The Massey Index has us 11th best in FCS, behind 6 MVC teams, 3 Big Sky teams and 1 from the WAC (Soft Houston).

I think the top 4 has to include

SHSU, EW, NDSU, and S Ill.

You have to plut Nova over us. They beat us on our field.

SDSU only loss by 1 to S Ill

I'd see us a "hare/dog" 03-lmfao behind SDSU at #7.

This seems pretty likely with how the season most likely shakes out except I do see NDSU jumping SHSU for the 2 seed

It should be 50-50 if we are in the same side of the bracket as NDSU, but for some reason it feels like our chances are always 75%.

Still a lot of football left to be played. I expect things to change some by December.

Didn't have to wait for December. SDSU takes second loss and EWU goes down among projected seeds and South Dakota takes third loss.

....and SDSU is going to b!tchslap the smelly Bisons in two weeks. Playoff seeding implications aplenty!

Don't know if this is the new normal, but NDST is not a great team and totally beatable. They are lucking out with some of their wins. We picked a terrible year to regress.

I still haven't looked at the championship games we lost to them, should have won both. They are just one of those maddening teams that get more luck than anyone deserves. This move out of FCS can't happen quick enough for me, good riddance.

History tells me that bad teams that continue to win many times improve and become good/great teams.

Little surprised at us a #7 seed, but this bracket would be fine to me. NDSU #1 seed probably makes sense and the likely outcome if they win out.

- I don't like any bracket that has us going to play NDSU on the road.
- I don't mind playing at SHSU.

I think we likely end a little higher, 5 or 6ish as of today. If Nova stumbles we could end up a top 4, but unlikely if Nova wins out. We need someone like UD to find a way to beat them.

In that bracket, I could easily see us hosting the semis against UC-Davis.

I'd have no problem playing in the Fargo barn if it weren't for the noise cheat. The affect of an OL playing hesitant and out of synch can't be measured in false start penalties or sacks. Our patchwork of starters and subs would struggle up there.

Agreed - that tin dome is worse than the EWU red field. Draws that have us traveling to those two would be the worst, though really no team scares me playing at BFS, and would love to see the Bison at home. Doesn't look like things setting up that way yet though.
