We are living a modern-day version of the Emperor’s New Clothes. Only the issue isn’t public nudity, it’s public senility. In the fable, the spell of denial/disbelief is broken by one random child in the crowd who speaks the truth. Who will perform that role today? We know it can’t be a “Trumper” and probably not a Republican or non-Democrat of any type. And the reason we know it because people like that have already said it, over and over and over again, over the past 24 months, to no effect.

At some point, if people in the Left/Progressive camp believes that Biden remaining in office is more of a political hindrance *to* *them* than throwing Biden out of office, I think at least one of them will step forward and bell the cat.

But who knows? After Biden flat-lined in the Iowa/New Hampshire/Nevada contests, I thought he was finished. In a way, I’m still sort of in shock that “President Biden” is actually a thing that we are all dealing with in real-life. Every minute that it drags on seems like something out of O. Henry, or Shirley Jackson or Rod Serling. Could the plot really take another 39 months to unfold? Until 20th January 2025? That seems impossible but — again — who knows?
