Official NIU-Toledo predictions!!!!!!
I’m all in on Antario Brown. Toledo can’t stop him so the read option is money for Rocky. The defense will hopefully keep attacking as well. NIU 31, Toledo 23

Toledo is giving up 126 yards per game on the ground for 3.1ypc. Thats because of one field posession game vs. CSU where our offense didnt stay on the field longer than 3 plays and they still only rushed for 4.3 ypc and a dude had 30 carries. I guess there has to be an avenue for success...Lombardi needs a passing TD and more than 84 yards to keep us off balance or that box is getting stacked and NIU is going no where but back. Also teams have had punt return success on us. That would help. 31 points would by far be the most scored against us offensively. Norfolk State 3, ND 25, CSU 15, BSU 12, UMass 7.

That’s impressive. Guess we shall see if your D is for real or if our RB is for real.

It pains me to say this but…I just don’t see how our youth will hang for 4 quarters with the amount of seniors they have.

Head:
Turds 30
Dogs. 20

Heart:
Turds 28
Dogs. 30

Rocky leads a last minute TD drive ala GT.

LFG!!!!

I think Toledo is mostly hype. Huskies were picked to be last in the MAC and will make their statement!

Bad guys 31
Good guys 23

But I wouldn't be that surprised if we won. There's so much parity in the MAC and everybody has a bad game here or there.

+1

Hopefully our offense is getting stronger. Brown jumps out at you-- he will eat up yards. Rocky will be on target. We likely will miss Tucker. Hopefully young receivers step up. Really, I think Rocky will play well. The offensive line will play well. And Brown will eat them up-- unless they totally sell out to stop the run-- in which case we need young receivers to step up.

Our defense will give up yards, as always. I hope our safety play is strong and doesn't allow the long pass. (scared) If so, we will be alright.

Hope NIU 34- Toledo 31

Fear Toledo 31 NIU 28

so, I predict 31-31 tie and Huskies in OT :-)

RE: Official NIU-Toledo predictions!!!!!!
This is THE game. The real measure of how far back we have come. Was last weeks defense the one we will see going forward? Is Brown THAT good? Will the offense be more creative?

Toledo is not the offensive power of years past. Throw out the 2 trouncing of FCS teams(umass is fbs but not even fcs quality) and they’re averaging about 19pts a game. Toledo’s defense is solid but we can run on them. They don’t hold teams to under their rush yds/game average and they haven’t faced a rushing team( ND only runs 80/game. CSU was best running team at 159/game and Toledo surrendered 211yds). NIU is averaging 220/game. No diverse offense this week. Lots of Brown and Ratdog with some Lombardi keepers.

I have no idea what defense for NIU will show up. But I’ll go with last weeks:

24-21 NIU

UT 38 NIU 17
This NIU team has been more exciting than I imagined after going winless last year but they aren’t ready to knock off Toledo. Just hoping there’s 3 more wins out there to get to a bowl game.

That’s cherry picking. Umass is ranked 190 in sagarin(which is a wack rating system but even so- 190!) EMU is 113th vs the rush. This says more about how bad Umass and EMU are than anything about Toledo. I tend to throw out stats gained against FCS teams or FBS teams ranked 130+. I’d look at how you guys did vs ball state and CSU. That’s the best measure going forward for MAC play.

This game reminds me of GT in many ways, not an easy matchup at all but not the toughest team we’ll play all year. For us to win we’ll need the rockets to self detonate on offense like the wreck did. Huskies 21-17

83 to 17% win expectancy per ESPN... Is what the 3rd lowest win percentage behind Michigan and WMU? What was GT and Wyoming?
