I was thinking about the Charlotte/USM fans talking about the beers their schools brew. Whats something different that your school does? At MTSU we have a large dairy operation and you can purchase chocolate milk. They show up to our local market and sell it.

In all seriousness, aside from famous athletes, TV personalities, and tragedy, our Forensic Science grad program is ranked #1 in the nation.

Well other than being associated with the region of Virginia (Old Dominion) and a trucking company ODU is known for VMASC (Virginia Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation Center) as a top 5 facility in the states and may be the World. We are also the first university to start a brand new school(unlike many schools that have programs offering courses) for cybersecurity for research and interdisciplinary education funded in part by NSA, DISA/CISA. The vision is to bring real world cyber threats, tor data, black domains/sources into emulation and then deriving solutions that can be modeled, simulated and implemented in the defense sector as well as real world enterprises. The combination of VMASC and ODU SCS will be one of a kind in the world when all is said and done.

FAU still has, on its grounds, a Burrowing Owl sanctuary. In fact, the University had been built in the area well known for many owl burrows. And it is these birds that gave our school's sports teams their name

Tech has one of top Aviation Programs in the country. It was ranked #2 behind US Military Academy and ahead of Embry Riddle my junior year.

We also produce a lot of Country Musicians- Merle Kilgore, Kix Brooks and Trace Adkins to name a few. Lainey Wilson didn't go to Tech but her parents did and her sister did too.

I think it's also fair to say that LA Tech is known for football & TV legend Terry Bradshaw, basketball legend Karl Malone, Phil "Duck Dynasty" Robertson and its' Cyber Engineering Program.

clt says we are known for a great student section

Not sure if this is unique but our founder, Bonnie Cone, is buried on campus in the Van Landingham Glen.

We also have another on campus cemetery. There's 2 plots of unmarked graves on either side of our baseball stadium entrance where the Mecklenburg Indigent Persons Home used to bury the folks that died there.

Hot women, really great parties/tailgates, Vince McMahon, & Sandra Bullock.

Also a good medical school, nursing school, school of education, etc.

I always say that if you can't get laid in 1 day at ECU you might not be alive, and even that isn't much of a detriment to your chances.

Some of the famous and successful people to attend Marshall:

Billy Crystal (1 semester)- Came to Marshall on a baseball scholarship. Marshall dropped baseball the next semester and he left to attend NYU.

Soupy Sales- Known for The Soupy Sales Show and Lunch with Soupy Sales in the 1950s early 60s.

Conchata Ferrell- Best known for Berta on Two Half Men

Brad Dourif (2 Years)- A voice actor best known as the voice of Chucky from Child's Play

Lea Ann Parsley- 1998 Silver medal winner in Skeleton

Tammie Greene- WPGA player

Larry Coyer- Long time NFL D Cood. was a College and NFL coach from 1965-2014

Joe Johns- A news correspondent for NBC, ABC, the TODAY show and CNN.

Homer Hickam (1 year 1/2) Was going to Marshall and studing engineering. Marshall dropped the engineering school and he transfered to VA Tech. Known for his memoir Rocket Boys and the 1999 movie October Sky

Brad D Smith- President of 3 companies, two of which were fortune 500, the last being of Intuit from 2008-2018.

Michael W Smith- A Broadway singer that has been the part of more than 40 musicals.
