It is true that it's our highest attendance at Joe Aillet stadium. However we use Independence Stadium in Shreveport as our "home away from home" for bigger crowds. We have had many games with bigger attendance than that at Independence Stadium. I understand not including home games in other stadiums since that opens the can of worms of teams claiming games at neutral site venues but it's a shame since we do use Independence Stadium so much.

KSU recored actual attendance. Most of these schools record ticket sales.

What is your record for a Shreveport game? I agree it should count as a “home” record crowd. It’s not like you are “hosting” Alabama at the Superdome and trying to claim everyone is there to see you.

Without going too in depth with research, I think 2003 vs Miami was the largest crowd at 43,279. But just like you said and this is the can of worms opened, how many people were there to see Tech and how many were there to Miami at their height. Is it any different than having the game at our campus location though? Fans would come out to see Miami in 2003 in both locations but obviously Independence stadium is bigger and that crowd would not have fit in Joe Aillet Stadium.

RE: Record Attendance for CUSA 4.0
Our game with Georgia Tech is our best attended home game at Floyd Stadium. But, we were the "Home Team' in 2006 at The Titans (Now Nissan) stadium in Nashville when we played Louisville. Attendance was 32,788 for that game! I attended both games and can't believe we've never been back to that stadium for a game. We have the largest alumni base living in Music City (Yes larger than UT, Vandy, etc.); yet we never get to play there. 03-banghead

UTEP’s highest attendance game (53k) was in 2008 when it hosted Texas.

For conference games, UTEP had a full house vs Marshall, Rice, UAB and I believe SMU and Tulsa as well. That was when the Sun Bowl had 52k seats. Now that it has 48k seats, it sold out against North Texas last year.

The Texas A&M game in 2012 with Johnny Football was over 40k as well.

Same deal for SHSU, we play a big game at NRG every year, record attendance would be vs SFA (80% or higher SHSU fans) is north of 26k

Updated with the correct number, thanks for the help.

RE: Record Attendance for CUSA 4.0
WKU highest home game attendance was at Titans Stadium in Nashville. WKU vs UK in Bobby Petrinos first game as Western head coach. I remember the attendance somewhere between 42,000 & 44,000. About divided fan base, although I recall WKU as having the most fans there that day. It was Western home game with signage etc., in the stadium. Of course UK refused to play in Bowling Green. In was our second win in a row over UK (who has refused to play us again)!

I’m only including true home games that are played in home stadiums.
