Yeah, I don't have a link or anything... but my son who's all over twitter, instagram and you name it said that Mckenzie Milton is talking sh*t that the 2017 UCF team would beat 2021 UC easily.

Hey, even if he didn't say it... post it on the bulletin board and let 'em take it out on the 2021 UCF team.

It was sold out until Temple returned all of their unsold tickets.

I can’t imagine temple was given all that many seats to begin with. Unless there is a minimum predetermined for league games or something like that.

Yup, that’s what I’ve always said, but I was toeing the 40k party line.

I’ve noticed that sell outs this year actually look
like genuine sell outs.

Bolded, I agree. Visually, the stadium appears to be completely full and that wasn't always the case. Of course it can be sold out and weather keeps many away but I think this is the best year ever for filling seats and, to date, the best year for fans arriving a bit earlier to get seated for pre-game. We're taking on more attributes of the big-time program that UC has become.

I've said it before, I'm a sucker for the big uglies - on both sides of the ball. Give me Renfro in the middle at 6'3" 310 lb with tree trunk legs and bulldozer leverage every time. What a get for this staff!

He didn't just say that. He also said 2017 USF and Memphis would beat us too. And I think he even said 2021 would beat us. Hilarious that he's leaving his former teammates out to dry while he runs the Florida State scout team or whatever.

Meh...07-coffee3

Who cares what a FORMER player has to say.

All athletes think their team was better than those that follow. The 70s Steelers think they were better than the the 80s Niners. The 80s Niners think they were better than the 90s Cowboys. The 90s Cowboys think they were better than the 00's Patriots. (In all cases they'd probably be wrong. 03-lmfao)

I bet if you asked Tony Pike or some of the players on the BE Championship team behind closed doors, they will say they think they were better too. It's part of an athlete's makeup. I doubt it's bulletin board material.

If he didn't add the USF / Memphis nonsense I'd have thought the same thing.

2017 USF lost to 7-5 Houston at home and UCF. Memphis finished the season 10-3 with 2 losses to UCF and Iowa State (at home for the Liberty Bowl). UCF finished 13th in the Sagarin ratings that year and South Florida was 41st and Memphis was 32nd. This season we are currently 8th. If you want to argue that UCF beats us that year, I disagree but fine. But for him to spout off that we'd be losing to Memphis and USF is ridiculous. We had no problem with Number 10 Notre Dame at Notre Dame.

He didn't say Memphis and USF were good - he said they were tougher than Auburn that year. 02-13-banana

An old fellow told me many years ago, the farther you get from when you played, the better you were.....04-cheers

The 2017 McKenzie Milton would mop the floor with the 2021 McKenzie Milton.

Not taking shots at him, of course.

RE: UCF V UC game time
Look... McKenzie Milton is entitled to his opinion. I'm not sure why anyone is really interested in what he thinks on the subject, but...whatever.

His devastating injury is one of those "What if..." questions that has to leave you wondering what the outcome could have been.

But trying to compare the 2021-22 Bearcat team with the 2017 UCF team is really stupid. Especially when he then goes on to take a swipe at a Bearcat team that was in the throes of a certain coach that I will not name.

UCF didn't get "respect" because they didn't play anyone of consequence outside of the Conference. It was what it was. All the while they were out there self-appointing themselves as "National Champions" when playing an Auburn team that had most of their key players sitting out. Cincinnati went on the road to play an Indiana team that was expected as a "Top 25" (if not "Top Ten") program and Notre Dame, which was viewed as a "CFP Darkhorse" coming into the season. We expected to play a "Top 25" UCF team this week. It's not our fault that Indiana has not played well this season nor that UCF is not anywhere near being "Ranked." UC did what UCF has not: been willing to play top-ranked teams and earn our ranking.

So McKenzie Milton is butt-hurt that UC is getting "respect" that UCF has not. Tough. I notice that he did not stick around to help his "team." He didn't stick around to play against UC this year. No, he got out of town. Had he stuck around, he might have had a chance to put his money where his mouth is. But as it is, all he can do is tweet about something that nobody can really prove or disprove. It must be sad for him.

Oh, and if you don't think that UC and the AAC isn't getting "massive amounts of disrespect" then check out the thread "Cincinnati in CFP" over on the re-alignment forum where all sorts of people decide to weigh-in on why UC doesn't deserve to be in the CFP discussion...and maybe not even in the Top Ten.

Guys, I'm so tired of all this fukkin' bullshiit! G5. Non-Power. Weak conference. Not worthy of the CFP. One and two loss conference champs over undefeated Cincinnati. Kiss our asses! Make Malzahn beg for mercy on his knees!!!

If we should somehow be upset, it would not only drop us from CFP discussion, but potentially out of conf championship game, and out of NY6 bowl consideration as well with UCF only having one loss in conference so far. We must bring our A game from the start.

Yeah, board feels a little too cocky to me too considering the talent on UCF. Luckily that's doesn't matter as long as the players are focused. We'll find out soon.
