If the MAC loses Buffalo, why would either the MAC or UMass be interested? It doesn't make any sense from a travel perspective.

Beggars can't be choosers. Where else would the MAC backfill? What other conference is going to take UMass?

UMass brings *nothing to the MAC* so I don't see the appeal. Honestly if you're going to FBall only anyone UConn makes more sense than UMass because at least those hoops games you get are worth something.

But the better move for the MAC, in order, would be

1 - Try to poach CUSA (Looking at WKU) because if the American and MWC go hard at CUSA it's starting to look like a sinking ship

2 - Find a solid FCS team near their footprint that might want to move up UNI comes to mind

3 - Find a decent indy like Liberty to play as Football only until they can sort things out.

I'd rank JMU ahead of WKU. I don't know whether or not UNI would want to move up, but if the Big Ten agreed to stop playing FCS teams a second time and it stuck this time, they might start thinking about it.

I'm also a bit skeptical whether WKU would be another footloose add like UCF and Marshall, looking for the first attractive place in a southeastern based conference.

And given that its the MAC Presidents making the call, [3] might be more NDSU than Liberty.

But, still, several "No"s have to come in before the MAC turns to UMass.

Liberty will never play MAC football. It isn't going to happen.

You are truly clueless about the MAC and it’s member schools. Just stop…. And get some help.
