Is the Facebook "whistleblower" just a plant?
A good question to ask, is who benefits from a certain action, and you'll often find the motivation behind it.

You don’t go from 60 minutes to two days later an open slot for Congressional hearings with networks covering all of it live. 07-coffee3

Haven’t read this thread yet, but yes.

She’s a snake.

RE: my 24-72 hour Query on the first posting of this.

Pretty clearly a set up.

Again too coincidence in time.

Y’all starting to figure this out yet?

I didn’t watch the 60 Minutes interview. What did she “reveal” that’s so damaging to Facebook?

That unless facebook is given more power to censor, more disinformation will be allowed to be spread.

LOL.

So, the Facebook “whistleblower” is actually a Facebook lobbyist? Got it.

Yep, in a nutshell. FB isn't doing enough to protect the vegetable or the narrative, so more censorship under the codeword "oversight" is needed.

Facebook ‘Whistleblower’ Has Ties to Group Behind Trump’s First Impeachment, Jen Psaki’s Former PR Firm

Quote:As earlier predicted by Becker News, the Facebook “whistleblower” Frances Haugen called for more censorship during her Senate testimony on Tuesday.

“I am here today because I believe that Facebook’s products harm children, stoke division, and weaken our democracy,” she said in opening remarks. “The company’s leadership knows how to make Facebook and Instagram safer but won’t make the necessary changes because they have put their astronomical profits before people. Congressional action is needed. They won’t solve this crisis without your help.”

“Yesterday, we saw Facebook get taken off the internet. I don’t know why it went down, but I know that for more than 5 hours Facebook wasn’t used to deepen divides, destabilize democracies, and make young girls and women feel bad about their bodies,” she lectured.

“We can have social media we enjoy, that connects us, without tearing apart our democracy, putting our children in danger and sowing ethnic violence across the world. We can do better,” she added.

Of course, Haugen called for action “now” and implored Congress to regulate political speech online, although this would be a flagrant violation of the First Amendment.

“Congress can change the rules Facebook plays by and stop the many harms it is now causing,” she claimed.

Haugen not only worked the 2020 election censoring Americans questioning the results, she also worked on “tracking Chinese participation” on Facebook, including the Chinese government’s police state tactics.

“My team directly worked on tracking Chinese participation on the platform, surveilling, say, Uyghur populations in places around the world. You could actually find the Chinese based on them doing these kinds of things,”

“We also saw active participation of, say, the Iran government doing espionage on other state actors,” she added.

Haugen, of course, lamented the “national security issue” of Facebook’s “consistent understaffing” of counter-espionage and counter-terrorism teams.

“I have strong national security concerns about how Facebook operates today,” Haugen said.

Haugen’s connections to the Democratic Party establishment run deep. Haugen, the National Pulse recently reported, gave at least 36 donations to left-wing candidates and causes.

She also has connections to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki’s former PR firm Bryson Gillette, where Psaki worked as a senior adviser until September 2020. The Center for Humane Technology, a group pushing for Facebook to more tightly regulate political content, was one of Psaki’s clients, according to ethics filings obtained by The Daily Wire.

“Despite having money for political donations, in January 2020, Haugen had a $44,000 federal tax lien placed against her for unpaid taxes, according to public records reviewed by The Daily Wire. The lien was released on May 17, 2021.”

Her lawyers are now seeking to raise $50,000 on GoFundMe, money they say will go to covering legal expenses for the attorneys, who are otherwise working pro-bono.

Those lawyers are Whistleblower Aid, a group founded by Mark Zaid, who previously represented the national security official who alleged that Donald Trump inappropriately pressed the Ukraine president on a phone call to, in turn, investigate whether Joe Biden inappropriately pressed the country to drop an investigation into his son’s firm, Burisma.

The plot thickens. The Facebook “whistleblower” who is not actually a “whistleblower” is tied through an advocacy group to the Trump impeachment “whistleblower” who was not actually a “whistleblower.” The latter individual’s identity, according to a recent book, is self-admittedly Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman.

Haugen is also currently coordinating with Democratic operative Bill Burton and his consulting firm Bryson Gillette.

“The Facebook whistleblower who revealed herself in a 60 Minutes interview is getting strategic communications guidance from a top Democratic operative, according to a source with direct knowledge of the relationship, which was confirmed by another half-dozen sources with indirect knowledge of the partnership,” the Washington Free Beacon reported.

“Frances Haugen, the former Facebook employee who has for the past 10 months fed internal documents to a top Wall Street Journal reporter, and who revealed her identity in a primetime broadcast on Sunday, is working with the political consultant and former Obama administration deputy press secretary Bill Burton and his consulting firm, Bryson Gillette,” the Free Beacon continued. “It is unclear when Haugen’s relationship with Burton and Bryson Gillette began, how big her communications team is, and whether it includes other political operatives.”

“But Burton is now deeply integrated with an emerging infrastructure on the left comprised of individuals and organizations, including the nonprofit Center for Humane Technology, seeking to press Facebook to more aggressively police political content,” the report added.

The Facebook “whistleblower’s” remarks come amidst a Democratic Party push to paint concerned parents who reject Critical Race Theory being taught in schools as ‘domestic terrorists’ and MAGA tourists at the January 6 riot as “insurrectionists,” even as the FBI has found no centrally coordinated plot to overturn the 2020 election results.

RE: Is the Facebook "whistleblower" just a plant?
Mark Zuckerberg Asks a Question the Left Would Rather Not Answer in His Whistleblower Response

Quote:You don’t have to be a fan of Mark Zuckerberg to know a good question when you hear it, even if it comes from him. To be sure, he asked one that would be wildly uncomfortable for the left to answer.

Zuckerberg was responding with a statement to the recent whistleblower that appeared on 60 Minutes, claiming that Facebook was intentionally dividing the country for profit. The whistleblower, Frances Haugen, claimed she had insider knowledge about how Facebook was targeting kids with extreme forms of content and claimed congress should buckle down on Facebook and force it to stop promoting content she considers harmful.

As Daily Wire reported, Haugen is a hard-left activist with donations to Democrats of a similar ideological stance as her. She also shares lawyers with the Ukraine whistleblower that led to Donald Trump’s impeachment.

Facebook, and indeed all platforms in Silicon Valley, do need a day of reckoning. Section 230 is outdated and needs to be restructured. That they target conservatives isn’t a question, and it would appear that Haugen’s true intent is to have social media companies crackdown on conservative content even more.

Zuckerberg, of course, believes that Facebook is doing nothing wrong, and released a statement in a Facebook post to that effect. Within his statement, however, he got down to the crux of the problem with a simple question:

Many of the claims don’t make any sense. If we wanted to ignore research, why would we create an industry-leading research program to understand these important issues in the first place? If we didn’t care about fighting harmful content, then why would we employ so many more people dedicated to this than any other company in our space — even ones larger than us? If we wanted to hide our results, why would we have established an industry-leading standard for transparency and reporting on what we’re doing? And if social media were as responsible for polarizing society as some people claim, then why are we seeing polarization increase in the US while it stays flat or declines in many countries with just as heavy use of social media around the world?

The final question is the most important one.

“If social media were as responsible for polarizing society as some people claim, then why are we seeing polarization increase in the US while it stays flat or declines in many countries with just as heavy use of social media around the world?”

Clearly, social media is responsible for quite a bit of the division we see in America. While half of it is the clear bias to the left shown by these coastal tech companies, the other half has to do with human nature. Introducing anonymity and the safety to say whatever you want without personal consequence results in many people becoming a lot less polite and a lot more polarizing. It’s hard to falsely accuse someone of being a Nazi when you might receive a broken nose for your efforts.

But a lot of the polarizing isn’t Zuckerberg’s fault, it’s the left’s.

These are the same people who tell the black community that Republicans want to put them back in chains and that they just as soon as kill a trans person as see them. They say that Republicans are a “death cult” and are “anti-science.” Conservatives are simultaneously diabolical geniuses and backwood idiots. We hate women and want to put them back into the kitchen to remain barefoot, pregnant, and subservient. We want to force them to give birth but could care less about the child afterward.

They want to convince your child that they’re gender fluid and that this country was founded on the evils of racism. Nothing else matters except for these facts.

The left has become extreme and it wants to paint everyone who is not them as the extremists. Sadly, they’ve done a very good job of this and more people believe their lies to be true than one would think possible.

We’re so divided because division is profitable, not necessarily to social media, but to the left. The more divided we are the easier it is to convince others to come to their side and vote against the monsters on the right. Through power they gain wealth, through wealth they gain power.

Zuckerberg’s question is one that needs to be strongly considered, but it’s one the left would rather you not think about too hard.

That's all that's needed, more censorship power for FB and their allies. Just the mention of Sucky and her PR firm justifies not trusting her anymore than The SOB or the Demoncrapped for that matter.

Pretty much what it sounded like to me too. Then the coincidental crash of their systems, either to scrub algorithms or something else, OR to convince the suburban Moms how undeniably important they are to their lives...

RE: Is the Facebook "whistleblower" just a plant?

Facebook ‘Whistleblower’ Was Part Of Election-Meddling Team That Nuked The Hunter Biden Laptop Story

Quote:The Facebook “whistleblower” thread has been pulled, and now the facade won’t stop unraveling — to the point that Frances Haugen has been revealed as part of the team of Big Tech censors at the center of 2020 election meddling, The Post Millennial has found.

Haugen was a member of Facebook’s civic integrity unit, which was tasked with countering so-called misinformation (read: throttling politically disfavored content) about the 2020 election. In October, that entailed censoring The New York Post’s reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop, which incriminated the Biden son and his father for corruption in the run-up to the highly contested election.

Just weeks before the November election, The New York Post reported that a laptop containing evidence implicating then-presidential candidate Joe Biden’s son for engaging in shady overseas business dealings had surfaced after Hunter Biden abandoned it at a computer repair shop in Delaware. Documents from the shop appear to show a signed receipt from Hunter for the repairs, and text messages, videos, and emails recovered from the device point to a “pay-to-play scandal” involving the current president.

Big Tech companies such as Facebook and Twitter, however, censored the story. Both Facebook policy comms director Andy Stone on Twitter and CEO Mark Zuckerberg in congressional testimony admitted to the company suppressing the bombshell report.

Haugen, who joined Facebook in 2019 on the condition of being tasked with censoring “misinformation,” was assigned to the 200-member civic integrity unit, where she worked until after the 2020 presidential election. Haugen and four other people, according to the New York Post, “were tasked with building a system to track misinformation targeted at specific groups of people in just three months,” and after their efforts were successful and Biden won the election, Facebook dissolved the unit.

The so-called “whistleblower” has already been confirmed to be a left-wing activist. Soon after Haugen came forward with stolen documents, lamenting that Facebook isn’t doing enough to censor hate speech and political dissidents, financial records revealed that she regularly donates to Democrats, including radicals such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Haugen’s attorneys are also deeply steeped in left-wing corruption. Her lawyers were part of the legal team that represented the fake “whistleblower” whose complaint about then-President Donald Trump’s Ukraine phone call (a call about which the whistleblower did not have firsthand knowledge) led to a sham impeachment. Now she’s receiving “strategic communication guidance” from former Obama aide Bill Burton’s public relations firm Bryson Gillette, which is run by Democratic operatives. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was a senior adviser there until September 2020.

On Tuesday, Haugen testified before a congressional hearing at least in part to gain lawmaker support for more Big Tech censorship. She accused Facebook of putting profits before safety by amplifying so-called misinformation — which she said is killing people, a talking point you might recognize from the Biden White House.

“The result has been more division, more harm, more lies, more threats, and more combat. In some cases, this dangerous online talk has led to actual violence that harms and even kills people,” testified Haugen, who has also made woke statements about “inclusion” and “bias” in her previous tech jobs, which have included Google and Pinterest. At the latter, she reportedly drove the company toward giving users the ability “to filter searches to specific skin tones.”

Haugen’s lawyers have filed eight complaints about Facebook with the Securities and Exchange Commission, including lamenting that the company doesn’t remove enough hate speech and didn’t deploy “lasting counter-measures” or sufficiently fight so-called misinformation, right-wing extremism, and violence regarding the 2020 election and Jan. 6 riot.

The Facebook “whistleblower” news comes amid widespread Big Tech censorship campaigns and partisan calls for crackdowns on what Democrats call misinformation.

In July, Psaki announced that due to 12 unnamed people on social media posting what the Biden administration considered to be misinformation, the White House is actively “flagging problematic posts for Facebook that spread disinformation” and “helping” to “boost trusted content.” Nothing is “off the table” when it comes to using Big Tech to quiet opposing views, she said.

When a reporter asked Biden that same week what his message is to sites such as Facebook, the president replied, “They’re killing people.”

A REAL whistleblower doesn't go on 60 minutes. This was all a setup. She wants more censorship of right leaning voices.

The video above with Tucker and Matt Walsh is exactly correct. How to spot a fake whistleblower - the media tells you about it.

Responding to the Q. in the OP.......we know where the plant is. The potted plant is in the White House.

Clearly a plant. She's been involved in half a dozen cozzy little relations with lawyers, operatives, campaigns involving everyone from Commie-saki to working at google, FB and pinterest.

Only thing missing is having a kid with Crackhead Bob or doing stint at Auntie Pinko/media mush.
