So you think building a stadium 50% larger than we’ll need for 95% of our games (basically adding an entire deck), for the possibility that the 5% of games are among the 2 or 3 per year the suffering want to attend, is something we could pitch to the bank? Your stadium - $300mil. Perfect stadium - $200mil. Which one doesn’t get you laughed at, kicked in the nuts and tossed out of the bank?

Exactly! Somewhere on the board in the various threads on this someone did the digging and came up with a list of the games we have had over the past 10 years or so that had attendance greater than 40 or 45K. It worked out to something like one game every two years on average (if I remember correctly) would be over the proposed OCS capacity. If I could find it I would link it, but I've read so much drivel from this dufus that my head hurts.

EDIT: I found it in tis very thread - post 141. Alanda replies to this poster with facts, which he cannot comprehend or refuses to acknowledge. I guess he is just addicted to his Tiger football welfare and is going to abuse hyperbole as a tactic in his nonsensical argument.

Hey jerkwad you have options. This guy stalks me more than MOLASSES does

? WTH are you on about now? I barely read the board and reply to little of what I do read. You’re not really on my radar, and I don’t mean that in a bad way. You’re just not.

You are complaining about a stalker? You mention me in almost every single post you make, including when it has nothing to do with the thread. You are an obsessed, disenfranchised communist.

Stalk? Hardly. More of observing, similar to how doctors observe the inmates in the insane asylum, looking for any evidence of intelligence….

Strickland said he did not know what the architect would suggest and did not preclude the possibility that renovations would be more costly then simply building a new stadium. After the interview Calkins said that he has talked to people "deeply involved" in the Big 12 expansion and that one of the primary issues that needs to be addressed the state of the Liberty Bowl. So there you have it --little left to the imagination - next move?

If the city has to foot the bill there would need to be some control ceded by the City to the University...That only seems logical.

What you just said is illogical! If the city foots the bill it is logical that they would maintain control of that investment. On the other hand if the University foots most of the bill it will demand more control.
