It's very nice having a reliable kicker. I remember watching Ivanic, Azar, Nendick, and Salerno that were reliable.

Nendick kicked the game-winning 47-yarder at UCF as a frosh. I thought for sure the pressure would get to him. I was ecstatic!!!!!

Not a kicker but Jamie Dobay was one of the punters when I was there. After he was done with football, he became an egomaniacal umpire for the park district softball league.

Such a relief to have quality special teams. John has been fantastic his whole NIU career.

(EMU's missed FG killed their momentum.)

RE: John Richardson
Are there any other G5 conferences that have a bowl tie-in with a P5? A chance for another boneyard win (if this holds up?) Also means someone's predicting NIU wins at least 6. Other than projections don't mean much, I'll take this as a positive at this point.

Nendick was a fantastic kicker. I believe he scored a point in every game he played. To go from Azar to Nenboot is like going from Harnish to JL6….just amazing

They should have taken a delay penalty to be improve the angle on that one.

ok-- I won't comment on the intricacies of O-line play, or other positions. But.... I will on kicking. I hate that most coaches (Rod) don't respect the difficulty of kicking and don't have a clue how to coach (help) them. Those coaches should go find themselves a kicking coach to do it if they are incapable. ok--- rant aside-- what happened on the one that was missed?

As you guys said, that was not a great angle. I don't know that they could have fixed that -- we had to play for the TD. So that's fine. However, it was Ference on the hold. He is NOT the usual holder. And the ball placement (the hold) was not perfect. So, that miss is on the team, not on the kicker. But, why was Ference holding on that one? He WAS NOT holding later in the game. I would love to know why he was holding on that one. On a later kick the snapper was late getting onto the field. **** to fix.

Who’s the regular holder? Abrell?
