Unless a stadium or arena is completely filled or nearly empty, you'll never be able to determine the amount of people at a game watching on tv. Hell, Blazers fans that were at the game are debating with each other how many fans were actually there.

Hilarious!

My experience is that there are no conversations about attendance that are not silly.

Agreed, all I can ever tell is if it is a bad, decent or good crowd. Our game against Marshall(before the rain) was decent.

what does being there have to do with anything?

There's pictures from other people that were there. The TV camera pans the stands most likely more times than someone that was "there" is going to take a good look at it. From experience a person "there" hardly ever sees what's over them or a good view of the same side they sit in. Its hard seeing the spread (people taking up more room than their seat) and sections with every other seat empty is also hard to see at a side view.

In the end its a best guess by someone there and someone seeing it from the TV and other peoples pictures.

Because they think they can perpetuate the lie and call you a "hater" if you didn't attend the game. 03-lmfao

WKUYG can you save the hate until we play your team. Then by all means let it flow but until then can you chill on 05-deadhorse

See....there's the "hate" comment. LOL! I knew some goofball would use that. You know they are shooting blanks when they resort to calling you a "hater" for simply stating FACTs. 03-lmfao

....well, at least those conversations that lead home fans to say "well, all our fans were in the concourse, and at the concession stand, But they were there!" 03-lmfao

I've never heard a single UAB fan ask other schools, "how many fans did you have in the concourse, or at your concession stands"? LOL!
