Yeah, beverages shouldn’t be more than 2-3 dollars. Souvenir cup, $5 at most

$10 for a good cheeseburger and fries then $5 for 17 ounces of water to wash it down. One of those is pretty good deal, the other is gouging.
It cost money to run a business and make a profit. There is a reason popcorn cost so much at the movie theater. Most of the ticket revenue goes to the people who made the movie. The popcorn and soda money pays for the theater and the people who operate it.

Yeah, that's why I quit going to the theater a long time ago. The product doesn't match the prices, not even on matinee. Protective will get their $5 out of me because I love the Blazers but that will be it. Can't go without water but I can go without all the rest.

$6 on Tuesday nights is well worth the price for a movie.

The product more than matches the cost of the movie whether it's a matinee or regular showtime. What doesn't match is the price at the concession stands. I ain't paying $9 for a small popcorn and another $6 for a drink. I will sneak a Snicker bar and a can of Mountain Dew into the theater in a heartbeat!

Its the popcorn twizlers and sodas that pay for the theater your watch the movies in.

RE: Yo Mama's Protective Stadium Menu
I have a membership that lets me see 3 movies a week, regular - Dolby Theater - IMAX - whatever. Only costs $22 a month. And I can book my specific seats in advance, even for opening nights.
Makes concessions a lot better. But if the experience is that bad for you, modern movie theaters probably just aren’t for you any more.

RE: Yo Mama's Protective Stadium Menu
How is the concession set up at Protective different from that at Legion Field? Usually the concessions at Legion Field were leased to fund raising groups like ROTC, Band Boosters, church fellowships, etc. who then enlisted volunteers to work there with no training or experience in food service. For years the only professionals were those selling the pizzas from ovens that were installed when Poppa John sponsored our bowl game. Fans complained about the service, but how do you fire people working for free?
