I assume some Sam Hunt "House Party" at some point in game even though i would hate that

The music should be uptempo to get the crowd up. I am not a fan of the Randy Newman song. I didn’t care for it when came out.

Between 3rd and 4th quarter, everyone gives the person in front of them a "Protective Reacharound."

If a slower Birmingham song is needed my preference would be Birmingham Tonight by Delbert McClinton. Never been a Randy Newman fan.

I vote that if we play Sam Hunt songs, it’s gotta be Cop Car over House Party.

Shepherd of Fire by Avenged Sevenfold for the Blazers Entry into the stadium.

I was going to suggest Hair of the Dog by Nazareth but it would probably be more appropriate for that bunch over in Ruston.

If we’re talking dragon related music, how do you not use “Through the Fire and the Flames” from Dragonforce?

Only problem is the tempo just causing too much hype. People be dropping from adrenaline overload.

I’m excited about the Birmingham song sing along, will be like sweet Caroline….
We will make it Our own. It’s about our city (the city who got this stadium built for us). So many groups came together to do this and it’s a small way to remember each one. The business community loves it and it will be unique to us. I think 45 thousand singing the chorus….”Birmingham, Birmingham greatest city in Alabam” will be awesome…..it will be during the first timeout of the 4th quarter and will have the words on the screen. You want unique and new tradition to make our own, here’s our chance.

I like it, with the proviso that if we are singing Randy Newman songs, we should start singing Short People (got no reason to live) at basketball games :)

It could be a thing. Like Sinatra after a Yankees game.

It will probably bring us a lot of notoriety especially playing it after a home win over a conference team. I am not a Randy Newman fan but I will lend my considerable crappy singing skills for wins over LaTech and WKU.

i am just afraid of how the Birmingham song will play with students and under 35's. Try it, if it fails...scrap it and don't force it. If it works, then good job. Just don't keep doing it if it isn't catching on. God knows I have heard "let me clear my throat" way too many times at Bball games
