Nolley and Timberlake are possibilities.

Quinones is imo most definitely a NBA 2 guard. He just does everything well.

Bates and Duren are lottery picks.

Maybe one more of the newcomers.

We have had some great teams for sure but I don't believe we have ever been this deep.

We are a legitimate 8-10 deep and just practicing against each other we should become a very, very legitimate threat to make a deep run come March.

I love Q as much as the next guy...And he is a key component of this team.

But as you say he does everything well at the college level...He needs to be great at something to make the league or be physically gifted...Maybe his shot gets to that level

Better than 40%?
Dang - that's a big ask!

Shooting 40% from the college 3 point line for a spot up shooter is definitely not great when talking about the NBA. If he was shooting 40% off the dribble or coming hard off of screens then yeah it is a different story. Big difference between the difficulty of shots Kispert was making and the ones Q was making.

Baylor shot 41.3% as a team last year.

So what do you think the benchmark is for "his shot to get to that level"? 45%? 50%? It's a silly argument.

He may not make it because of athleticism. (Although, we should see his new look in action before we jump to that conclusion.)

But don't summarily dismiss him. Reminds me a lot of Dillon Brooks. Brooks was a 36% college shooter.

% is important but not nearly as important as the type of shot you can make. Lester is a spot up shooter right now. If he can start making shots on the move and moving fast off of screens at the same percentage that significantly changes things.

First of all, most three point shots are of the spot up nature. There is a very low volume of them percentage wise that are taken with that degree of difficulty. When we were taking them that way the first half of the season, they were bad shots. Teams don't take many of them.

You are cherry picking a stat that in no way shows that what you are saying is true. When you look at the top 8 basketball conferences, and the top 100 three point shooters, you can see that it is very difficult to shoot at such a high level.

40%+ Baylor (1)
39%+ Florida State (3)
38%+ Virginia, Iowa, Michigan (6)
37%+ Illinois, Arizona (8)
36%+ Notre Dame, UCLA, Colorado, Georgetown, Gonzaga, Ohio State, Miami, NC State, Houston (17)

Only 1 team shot over 40%, and only 6 teams shot 38% or better. Only 8 teams shot 37% or better. Out of the top 100 three point shooters in the country, only 24 played in the top 8 conferences.

Shooting 40% is a huge accomplishment, any way you slice it.

I used to see Derrick at the casinos (I worked there for 20 yrs) and I believe he has his on security company in Memphis.

He might do that too but his main gig is a probation officer for a private company. Super good guy.
