The Liberty Bowl is fine for the SHC & the bowl game but it lacks for a collegiate environment & alumni experience. It’s time to smoke the bowl & move on-campus.

We have a rally cry now!

SMOKE THE BOWL!
MOVE ON CAMPUS!

Yeah baby. So having an OCS is going motivate 25K alumni to start going to games? Huh. Especially with the vast amount of parking that will be available to our perpetually bitching fans? Old stadium or new stadium, the crowds will remain about the the same. But I do believe it is time for the University to address it.

Literally none of what you are saying is true, except the last part.

That was the hope… I think it’s catchy.

Haven't you grasped it yet

The people on this board don't want a stadium that seats 60k---they want a 22k seat stadium ----therefore they can look down their nose on the 40k poor REAL TIGER FANS that can't afford season tickets or donations to the school.

REMEMBER if you have only been going to 1-3 games per year for the last 40 years---because you can;t afford season tickets---then you are not a real fan. ONLY THE DESERVING 25k are worthy of attendance ----the POOR MONEY WISE TIGER fans need to know their place

You need to take a deep breath and get that chip off your shoulder.

... and quit being so disingenuous. No one on this board has advocated for a 22K stadium. Further the actual poor do not have any discretionary income to attend FB games at any price. This is not about depriving the poor even with the wildest imagination. But I think everyone should pay their own way to games except where philanthropic generosity provides for the privilege otherwise..... and there is a distinct difference between a right & a privilege.

The actual poor as you call them-------NOT EVERYBODY CAN AFFORD SEASON TICKETS------BUT THEY CAN AFFORD A COUPLE GAMES A YEAR----Why make a 22k ---surely you are bright enough to know when I said 22k that I was being flippant --someone as judgmental as you surely knew that----the point being 22k/32/42/ seats is screwing the 75% of the fans that can't afford season tickets

If /when we get in the so-called club we will need a stadium as big as MEMPHIS MEMORIAL STADIUM----so if we build an OCS why make it rinky dink 40k stadium----stating we can just expand it later-------hell just build a 60k stadium or keep playing in MEMPHIS MEMORIAL STADIUM where we have enough seats FOR EVERYBODY THAT WANTS TO ATTEND THE GAMES

By the way the BIG12 has supposedly told BOISE St to expand their stadium that seats almost 37k--------------I can just see the BIG12 excitement when we tell them that we will be LIMITING THE AMOUNT OF FANS AT OUR GAMES

I think I have this figured out.

Stay with me.

Since the Liberty Bowl is so fantastic, SELL IT. It should bring in plenty of money for an OCS.

This is getting so crazy and out of step with reality.

365 is reporting that the city is working a deal with DHL to pay for stadium upgrades.

Yea right. The city's economy is supported mainly by FedEx and the city is going to one of its competitors.

The guy who said it didn't even know who Fred Smith is.

I think we should get the city to procure a naming rights on the stadium with a local bank.
