Hopefully the stadium and CityWalk inject new life into Uptown...that district hasn't really lived up to its potential thus far.

I completely disagree. Before the pandemic Uptown would consistently attract people, especially when events are going on. I think the area will only be enhanced (and a pain in the arse to get to) once City Walk is completed. I think the city will have to consider blocking off streets at some point and just making that area available to foot traffic only.

To be fair, the area has been a construction zone for years now. Between the interstate work, stadium, BJCC and Sheraton have been closed for reno. Add to that everything being canceled during the apocalypse. I'd say the last 36 months isn't a good sample size to judge how Uptown has performed. All that is nearing completion. BJCC will be back running soon. Let's wait about a year and reassess.
