Well, utep is in the mtn timezone so it's a 7pm local kickoff.

It also means the game likely won’t end until tomorrow.

ODU fans, to me this innocent game is one of the biggest games we have played. This could go either way, but if we can gain from the momentum of last Saturday and play like we did in the second half.

1.Feel like a football team again
2.We put the conference on notice
3.We put our fans on notice
4.We put the AAC on notice. Not sure if we want that, but they will be watching. They and their fans have totally disrespected ODU because of football.
5.Get a conference road win and beat a FBS school for the first time in 3 years.

And again, a friend of mine from Reading,Pa that knows coach Rahne and went to school with him says

RICKY DID NOT LEAVE PENN STATE TO BE MEDIOCRE AT OLD DOMINION.

I'll say this if we happen to win this game it would really feel good to win and win on road after a harrowing 3 year period. Some of the conference mates might notice but i don't think it will do anything to change our perception by the AAC unless this is a VT type of win no one besides our conference(and not even the entire conference) really cares in that UTEP being mediocre has been etched in the minds of more than enough folks at this point. Again a win will feel real good for the team and fan base and it should put some life back in to the rebuild efforts.

Agree. I don’t think a win against UTEP moves many needles outside of the ODU circles unless it is a blowout win.

I'm looking for consistent, cumulative win totals over a series of 3-4 years. But to get there we have to start with the first one and I would like to start tonight.

Would like to see the second half of last week's game carry over but UTEP is not a horrible team and the game's 2,000 miles west of and 3,900 feet up from Kornblau Field, so I project another slow start and better second half. Enough to win? Call me Missouri because I really lucked out with the SEC invit ... I mean, you gotta show me before I'm convinced.

I kind of agree. I think we will continue to see a mix of brilliant play and gaffs. I don’t think we’ll put it all together just yet. Watched some of the Buffalo game today and offensively they look like the second half last Saturday. Did we break them?

We might have but Western Michigan is usually pretty good too.
