We came very close to giving a game away last night where we were clearly the better team. You can't run out the clock with 13 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

An old coach was quoted as saying "It's not over until it's over". In Saturday's game on the Plains, out of 60 minutes, Auburn only led for 50 seconds. It was important since it was the LAST 50 seconds.

You're right. GA ST played not to lose and gave the game away. We don't want to do that.

Vs Jax St we connected on a long pass while leading 24-0.
We were fairly certain of the win but still had that great long pass from Hopkins to Shropshire.
Do you remember that?
We did not just run clock as some people have suggested.

RE: Things UAB must avoid next Saturday against Liberty
We were very close to first downs that would have put Tulane away. We just didn't make the plays. I don't feel like we got too conservative other than we didn't want to put Hop in a bad position. The one time we did, he made a bad play and took a very bad sack that took away a field goal opportunity. I actually was happy to see us run that play clock down.

OL needs to play better. They are doing a lot of good things but, TBH, even when teams are stacking up to stop the run. they're good enough to handle it better than they have.

They need to show it against Liberty. They can be run on, and we need to impose will.
