Pick the finish
Now that you’ve seen everyone play, how will the divisions play out?

Clemson
Wake Forest
Louisville
Boston College
NC State
Syracuse
Florida State

North Carolina
Virginia Tech
Pitt
Virginia
Miami
Georgia Tech
Duke

I think North Carolina will beat Clemson in the ACC championship.

I haven't seen enough for enough teams yet. Too many patsy OOC games and schizo performances. Get back to me in another 2-3 weeks. The Coastal is shaping up to be enormously volatile again.

^This^

I've been to three games in person (one road trip to Athens, OH) and two home games with huge tailgates.

I've only seen a couple ACC teams plays so far.

Also, let's see how injuries start effecting teams...Cuse will be missing a few tomorrow night for sure.

Its still EARLY but I think the Atlantic is up for grabs to. Luckily for Clemson there aren’t any great teams chasing them. I don’t think Clemson will have their offensive woes resolved by this weekend, giving State the advantage in a tie breaker. The only two I can count out of the race at this point are the Noles & Cuse. The Coastal is crazy every year, I think the Atlantic joins the party this year.

RE: Pick the finish
Let's play ACC Jeopardy.

The answer is 2014.

The question is what was the last year someone other than Clemson won the ACC Championship Game. In those six years, not one but two other SEC teams (LSU and Georgia) won an SEC title. Not one but two other Big Ten teams won a Big Ten Championship title (Penn State and believe it or not MICHIGAN STATE).

I'll believe someone else wins the ACC when it happens.

It’s hard to win a championship without an offense, or a QB that can take a snap under center.

Clemson over Pitt in the title game. NC State will choke away their lead.

With the issues Pitt's D had with Western Michigan's run/pass option, we need to get past GT next week before we get too far over our skis.

The problem then becomes someone has to step up and take the ACC Championship away from Clemson. How has the rest of the ACC done so far? The only ACC teams still unbeaten now are Boston College and Wake Forest. The team that just beat Clemson also lost this year to Mississippi State. And don't even get me started on you know who...

RE: Pick the finish
If Clemson regroups enough to beat BC, Clemson could easily go 8-2 until they play Wake Forest. When that game kicks versus when Syracuse and NC State kicks could be the difference maker because if State/Syracuse finishes first and State has gone 7-0 in conference to that point, Clemson no longer has any incentive against Wake.

I would expect State to be no better than 6-2 in conference, maybe 5-3 and they have to play at BC, at FSU, and at Miami. Clemson still has the inside track in the Atlantic in my mind and whoever wins the Atlantic, they will have a better defense than whoever the Coastal offers up.

You're still counting "at FSU" as something NCState will "have to play"?03-lmfao

Jacksonville State says hi.

Lack of respect for an opponent is not a wise course, especially when they may decide to pull their heads out of their asses at any time. They have talent, but many have no motivation. I'm old enough to remember Bill Dooley's boys teaching that lesson to Dick Crum back in the 1970's. 05-nono

^ This. Especially when it's a conference opponent.

Anyone want to take bets on Florida State's first win in 2021? They do host UMass on Oct. 23. But they did lost to an FCS school.

It may be against Syracuse this weekend. I saw FSU's defense grow up right before my eyes in the second half of the Louisville game. Louisville had run roughshod over the Noles during the first half of that game. But shut down the UL offense in the second half. The SU sputtering offense may not be able to put up enough points on the FSU defense.

FSU has talent and I would not be so sure they're going to lose all their games just because they lost to an FCS team.

Has Norvell lost the locker room?
