I really think you guys are spending too much time analyzing our conference and opponents and how they do in the games they play this season. JMU just needs to keep winning the games in front of us which will likely be in convincing fashion and it will al be ok.

I’m not sure if there is a heightened concern due to what happened in Spring but keep in mind that was a short season where we played the same 3 conference opponents twice and lost a tie breaker for the conference title.

Whatever the case we’ve already proven we can travel and beat a “good” FCS team on the road so if we need to do it again in the playoffs it’s not a big deal.

What in the hell happened to Furman's program? They got destroyed by Mercer yesterday. Yikes. ...and VMI pulled out the 'W' against Wofford.

I know we have bigger things on our mind and there is a thought that FCS is watered down but I found a few tweets from FCS Fans Nation interesting about the relative interest and media coverage of FCS and how it has actually increased. Also some of the realignment specific to FCS is actually growing the number of schools who participate. Not saying JMU should be in FCS- I think we have outgrown it but that doesn’t mean that FCS has gotten worse. Sure some big programs have left over the years but when they were FCS the whole subdivision wasn’t covered the way that it is today.

I was surprised by those scores too. I remember the day when Furman and Wofford were regular playoff contenders and tough outs at that.

I am glad to see VMI football winning though.
