I am proud to say I started this on sat. We need to do this more at home too

I must have been sitting right in front of you. So glad you started that! We need to find a way to let students know what is going on when everyone on the new side starts yelling "go". I feel like this effort would best be started by section 109 at BFS. Then those of us in 210 can join in. But again, the key is students recognizing what is going on and replying.

It is so much better when it is genuinely started by the fans rather than directed by the video board.

Lotta great memories to take away from this one:

Vad dissecting the Spiders
Taylor Reynolds!
RU throwing up the white flag while still in the 3rd Quarter
Taking over the stadium with the 'Go Dukes' and 'We Are Dukes' cheers
Players turning around and laughing at takeover
Players and coaches singing the fight song with fans

Section 212 was rocking on Saturday. I liked how UR tried to separate our extremely passoinate purple army into four different sections spread around the stands and we still proceeded to cheer louder, yell louder, and intimidate the Spidey fans right out of Bridgeforth East. The GO! DUKES! cheer across the stadium was awesome.

They can take our streamers, but they'll never take away our freedom!

Mad I missed that.

Dirty outdid me on that one, I had wandered into the UR stands to talk a little smack to a couple of former UR players and when I was coming back around I literally heard him yelling at the refs walking back in the stadium. There were a bunch of UR fans standing there, muttering about the unclean JMU fan yelling at the refs.

But, Dirty's antics gave me the perfect opportunity to get a little closer to the refs. I got up next to the fence, and who happened to be the closest ref to where I was but the Back Judge that called the targeting on Marlowe. He looked me dead in the eyes from less than 10 feet away, and I told him he sucked and after they reviewed his crap call in the league office he hopefully would never ref a CAA game again. The UR usher standing between us started laughing, and he turned his head as he mouthed "leave me alone". I thought it was hilarious, but decided to get away from there before the police that had been focused on Dirty threw me out. Dirty was the perfect distraction, as I knew he would be. But I almost blew it by wandering in the stands.

And this is why my wife refuses to go with me to the UR game at their place. Consecutive games there of my blatant stupidity have done me in, but I can't seem to help myself.

AND you think JMU will get better calls in the future...you are proud of your behavior?

I'm proud of it, those guys needed their asses handed to them. The CAA isn't going to do it, so I stepped up. If I had a son I would have brought him with me and taught him how to do it.

Bumped this thread to say I now have a son who will be attending the game with me and I will proudly teach him to scream at the Refs if they do something to deserve it.

Congrats DD.

I’m hoping our son joins us as well, he can talk ish and be almost as much of a loudmouth as his old man. Cut his teeth in ‘12 or so (not looking it up), whenever Birdsong was there and the bread box was 99.67% either purpled out or deserted.

Talked to some RU kids on the way out.

“Go to the game?”
No, we suck and knew you’d win, likely in a blowout.”

They weren’t wrong, left early to coach a youth kids game that eve.

Much more entertaining… 03-lmfao
